Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
My gold subscription was about to expire and I just called to cancel the automatic renewal because I thought it was under an Old credit card that I didn't want to use anymore. I figured I would just get a new subscription in the fall when I start playing online more with the new NHL and the new COD iterations.
So they offer me a year renewal for $35. And I said sure. Turns out my credit card on file was not the old one which I thought it was but my check card which is what I wanted it under anyways.
If I had known it was on my check card I would have just let it auto renew without a thought. Being stupid saved me $25.Comment

I call to drop Direct TV every 6 months our so to move to cable and they always offer me a big price break. It's a shame folks can't just do buisness straight up these days but you have to play the game.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Xbox 360 System Update Preview
I am happy to announce that we’re doing an Xbox 360 System Update Preview program for our next release, and the opportunity to sign up is now available. We are conducting an open call for US based participants* for a public preview to help us prepare for an updated Xbox 360 disc format. This is an important update as we continually strive to improve our products and we could not do so without the help of our great Xbox community. As part of the preview program, you will receive a copy of Halo: Reach along with other possible rewards.
Much like we did last year, you’ll need to visit the Microsoft Connect site from this link and sign in with your Windows LIVE ID that is connected to your Xbox LIVE Gamertag. Once you complete the survey that is presented to you, the Connect site will provide program related updates and you will receive a mail once the selection process is completed.
A couple of points before you head off to register:- We’re looking for multiple thousands of participants, so your chances of making it in are good.
- This opportunity is open to Xbox LIVE Members in US region only*.
- To avoid any problems, read the survey carefully and double check all the information you provide.
- While both Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up, priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process.
*Due to disc distribution limitations, this beta it will be limited to residents of the United States only.
I’ll be sure to update this post if the program fills up.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
Guess this goes here.
Do you need gold to chat with someone that's using MSN messenger on 360 from your computer? I know you need it to send messages. Also do they need to be on your Xbox friendlist as well?Comment

I already got Costume Quest and Doom 2, and might as well jump on the Red Dead DLC and Raskulls or Crazy Taxi too. Nice to see MS do more with sales, as I remember Sony always doing them on the ps3. Plus all the $15 and $20 price tags don't help every game.Comment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
I really wish you could buy points in groups of 200, and to be honest I don't understand why Microsoft forces you buy 400, 800 or 1,600 at a time with the obvious exception being the company wants to force you to spend more money. I currently have 1,000 points, and I want to have 1,200 so I can buy either Torchlight or Monday Night Combat. I don't want to buy 400 points because then I'll have 200 points leftover which is worth a whole lot of nothing. So I guess I just have to wait until Torchlight or Monday Night Combat goes on sale.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
Yeah, and you get themes and gamerpics as well so I guess 200 points isn't completely worthless. Still, I don't buy indie games and I don't have Rock Band so I guess I'm just stuck waiting for a sale.Lux y VeritasComment

portal is on sale for 600 points, and while it's tempting, it's an odd price MS points wise.Comment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
Some of those $1 Indie games are as good as or better than XBLA games. And they have trials. Two I have and would recommend trying are IMadeAGameWithZombiesInIt and ZP2KX: Zombies and Pterodactyls (that one even has online multiplayer)Comment

I have never and will never buy a theme, gamerpic, or avatar clothes.
