Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
I almost bought Deadlight, then played it, and just felt so confined and restricted that once I fell in water twice back to back I quit and probably won't ever play it again.

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
Summer of Arcade has been awful this year. Hybrid has been pulled off XBLA because the servers are broken. I guess there's always hope for Dust: An Elysian Tale. That was the game I was most looking forward to anyway.
Funny that the 2 best XBLA games this year haven't been a part of any promotion in Fez and Spelunky.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Checked out the Deadlight demo and won't be buying... especially for that price. Backgrounds look nice and story is somewhat interesting but the gameplay itself has been lackluster to say the least.Comment

Microsoft barely promoted SMB. It sold mostly on word-of-mouth and strong reviews. They launched SMB alongside another XBLA game, and the day it came out, there wasn't even an ad anywhere on the homepage.Comment

Doesn't look like it:
SMB came out October 20th, 2010, along with Costume Quest and Dream Chronicles:
