Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
Considering how much of a bomb boom blox was on the wii, its probably a good idea to bring it out on xbla.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

It makes you wonder if the rumors that have sprung up about Sony and the motion controller @ E3 could be something that MS is also unveiling. To play Boom Blox, you really need a motion controller. Could be interesting.Comment

I hate motion control. I was hoping MS and Sony would resist the tempation to jump on that bandwagon. Motion control is great for about 5 minutes, then the novelty wears off and your left with crappy games with bad controls. Motion control and 3d movies - two fads I hope die off quickly (again in the case of 3d movies).XBL: TancComment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
However, I fully understand why Sony and MS are moving to adopt motion controls, since the wii is so successful. I just wish it doesn't filter down into more games that I play as the exclusive control scheme.Last edited by bkfount; 05-02-2009, 10:32 AM.Comment

Three New Xbox Live Arcade Games Coming Wednesday
Arkanoid was one of the all-time classic arcade games that sparked a huge number of imitators. Now you can play the classic game in glorious high-def. Arkanoid Live is the all-time classic arcade game now with achievements and multiplayer co-op play over Xbox Live. The game contains 62 rounds divided into two episodes that can be played under either Lives Rules or Barrier Rules.
Space Invaders Extreme is a total reinvention of the classic Space Invaders, offering a true high-definition experience with upbeat electronic tracks, and dazzling new graphics and gameplay. Multiplayer features are now expanded with four-player versus and co-op multiplayer modes for even more Xbox Live fun.
In Zombie Wranglers, you play one of four quirky suburban tweens, charged with the onerous task of ridding your community of a mysterious zombie outbreak -- and being home for supper afterwards! Join up with up to three of your friends, either on one console or over Xbox Live, through the single-player story or the competitive arena mode.
Arkanoid, Space Invaders and Zombie Wranglers will be available for 800 Microsoft Points each.
Backbone Entertainment certainly rolled out the red carpet for Taito’s Space Invaders IP. While it’s abundantly-clear that SIE is an ode to the original, it’s also thankfully apparent that its creators did their homework on what makes a successful modern video game, too.
Yes, Space Invaders Extreme is in high def and, yes, it features multiplayer; just like most ROM redux. But it’s what has been done to reinvent Invaders’ actual gameplay that makes this XBLA title worthy of its groundbreaking IP digs.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

As they say, some things aren't as good as you remember them...Arkanoid is one of those games. Peggle is 100x better.Comment
