strange request maybe...but can i get someone to take their ps3...plug it into their tv via HDMI, but also plug the component cables in to see if the hdmi still shows up.

if i get a ps3, i'll be playing it on my computer monitor via a hdmi to dvi cable which doesnt transfer sound. therefore, i'd need to take sound out of the component rca's and want to make sure that works. thanks.

I was wondering what do you guys do to prevent your consoles from getting dusty? As you all know since the console does nothing but sit there it's easy for it to collect alot of dust so what do you do to keep it from doing so?

While I'm not playing it, the only thing I could think of was take an old t-shirt and just slip the whole console inside of it and I have no problem with dust. I wish there were some sort of covers you could buy or something. For both the PS3 and the 360 since I own both.

Just got home with my 40GB PS3 as well. Looking to get Drake's Fortune soon.

I'm trading in my 360 College Hoops for the same version on the PS3 because of these sucky DDE's I get, which i know is 2k's fault but still.

If I'm missing something let me know....oh and I got an HDMI cable

just get a duster at the store. I use those Swifter thingies.

Thx. Traded in some old 360 games and was able to get DF, and a blue ray movie.

Except none of my hdtv's have an HDMI jack

yep, congrats. If you don't have a USB Drive yet, get one of them also. Most people have one but figured I'd make sure.

I just got a PS3 for the show, but I don't know if I could have missed out on a PS3 this year. And its the best blu-ray player on the market. The only thing I'm worried about is that a 120 GB one is going to come out, and 40 GB price will drop.

Anyways God of War, MGS and Final Fantasy are pretty much my favorite franchises so I can't say I regret it. MGS4, Metal Gear Online, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and then hopefully God Of War in 2009 and Blu-Ray putting a whooping on HD DVD, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I caved and paid extra for a MadCatz HDMI cable though because I wanted to play right away, I'm not proud of that, but overall I think the PS3 is starting to look like it will offer a ton in 2008. I just really wanted to buy GTA 4 for PS3, but MS had to buy the exclusive rights for the downloadable content.

I'm going GTA for PS3 this year... I don't even care about the content anymore. With all the problems I have had I just want to play GTA with a peace of mind.
