only a few game have done this, a few of the recent ones. You can delete them at some point too........most likely when you are done with the game or get rid of it.

All the games install something to the HDD.

Alright I must I'm really impressed by the hardware. I seems very user friendly which always a good thing. I'm freaking loving the control design. I haven't used it yet to game, but the feel of it is awesome. I have never felt a controller that was so light... I was shocked to feel how light it was.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this but it feels light years ahead of the 360. From the way your insert your disc, to the touch sensitive power button. I only used the controller to eject but I believe there's a touch sensitive eject button also correct?

Don't get me wrong now, I will still do most of my gaming on the 360, but I definitely see myself doing some gaming on my PS3 as it was really purchased as a BR Player 1st & a Gaming Machine 2nd.

I have a Harmony & want to program it to control my PS3, but the PS3 doesn't offer IR. I've heard this will allow my Harmony to control the PS3? Feedback

yeah, me, fishepa, and mgoblue have it that I know of. Works real good with the Harmony. The only negatives are it won't turn the PS3 on/off and sometimes it takes over controller spot #1 so when you start playing a game your controller is assigned to #2. Most of my games don't care if I play as #2 but some make me re-assign the controller to #1 before I play (Ratchet and Clank). Re-assigning a controller takes about 5 seconds, you hold the PS button down like you are quiting a game or turning off the system, then go down to controller settings and re-assign it to #1.

It works real good if you have a Harmony remote and want to control your PS3 with it. I had to make an adjustment for that activity on my Harmony to navigate the PS3 menus a little slower because it seemed the Harmony remote was a little sensitive and I would go through the menus too fast, but that's just a setting in the Harmony software for the PS3 device that isn't hard to change. The Nyko USB dongle is pretty durable too considering my dogs chewed on it for a good 5 minutes this weekend before I noticed and it still works fine. Doesn't look so sharp anymore though

yes, all games do put data on the HDD, but really, only the recent capcom games require a large, and lengthy install. It just seems lazy to me to have the long installs, when CoD4 doesn't do it, and heavenly sword does one in like 3 minutes.

Hot Shots Golf 5 has a 20 min, 5 gig install as well.

that's my point. Why the hell does hot shots golf have such a large and long install, especially when better games can either do it faster, or not have one at all.

I just don't see this becoming a growing trend, where many more games require this. I don't see why Sony would want it to go on much longer either.

Works for me, but you can't be watching a movie/playing anything. You can just be messing around the XMB or in the store for it to work
