I just got a 250 gig Slim PS3, now not sure what to do with the old 60 gig one.

So I just got that charge station thing for PS3. It's kind of cool, even though I probably didn't need it. Oh well, now for any USB-like things I ever need to charge, this will always be there. I wish the lights would turn blue instead of green when it's done charging though, that would be a bit more PlayStation-like (and less Xbox-like lol).

Now I asked this before and I just wanted to be sure... if I leave these things plugged in 24/7, is it okay? Or will my lithium-ion battery on my controllers start to drain a little bit from charging all of the time and giving them less life? I believe someone said they had theirs plugged in all the time for two years and haven't had any problems, so I just wanted to be sure.

I have that and leave them in 24/7 and havent had any problems. The booklet said that when the light turns green it stops charging so it wont drain your battery so its safe to leave it in.

Okay, that's reassuring. Thanks.

Again, would have looked much better if it turned blue. But it doesn't concern me too much. It just kind of surprised me more than anything that it was green.

Sony should really allow custom avatars so that we can use our Modnation Racers when that game comes out. Now that would be sweet...

I'm still using a fat PS3 and I have a question. How often is that loud fan in the back supposed to kick in? Lately, it seems like if I play for a couple hours it kicks in, and that scares me because I feel like I should be able to play it longer than a couple of hours before that happens.

I agree, but they would probably have to be careful for the pornography scene out there, unless there was a way for them to filter that out.

EDIT: Wait, do you mean the image next to our PSN ID's, or like a little guy to create like 360 has now (or like a Mii)? I don't care much for the latter.

I believe the fan has five or even six speeds. You're likely referring to the third speed, and if so I wouldn't worry about it. It's not a good sign, but it's not uncommon or serious. It's possible it will do that (and even kick in sooner) for the rest of its life without issue.

Yeah, it may not be... but, I'm trying anything. I'm in summer and no gaming console is killing me right now. Plus I don't get my paycheck for two more weeks. Just trying anything really. haha
