Interesting, thanks. But I guess what I'm asking about this in retrospect is what are the requisites for me to function this? Do I need to leave my PS3 on all night for two nights? Can I not turn it off or play any games meanwhile? I suppose I just don't really understand what my end is supposed to do to make sure that the simulation runs and completes properly.

They give you 8 hours of calculations to do and give you two days to get it done and back to them. It can be interrupted, and it will start again where it left off. So, for instance, it could have run 6 hours, you stop it to play a game, then start it again and it will be done with that chunk in 2 more hours (all times are approximate).

You can run it however you like, but it just has to be run for at least 8 hours in two days time for anything to be accomplished on your end.

When is Natal supposed to release? I can't imagine this will be good for Sony if Microsoft now beats them out of the gate with their motion technology as well...

I honestly think Natal and Sony's Vibrator Wand are going to BOMB!!!!!! I personal can give a crap for either. I'm a gamer want my controller on my hand and play like I have always played. I YAWN on both of these projects.

I don't think any gamers, whether shooters fans, RPG fans, or sports fans really give a care about that stuff. I know I don't and I will never buy motion anything. If MS or Sony ever go with motion only in the future gaming generations, I will go with the motion-less one. Even if it means back to PC.

Meh, I passed on Wii for good reason. I'm not ready for that kind of controller, and frankly it doesn't enthuse me very much. Something like Rock Band is different, and works well for only that kind of game. Now, if they came out with a current-gen Area 51 with a gun, again... I might like it. But I don't like something that passes off as being compatible for a bunch of different things because it might misrepresent what I'm actually trying to do. Plus, I'd just rather use a controller anyway.

Agreed. I got a Wii to play with my wife or to get Mario games but if I actually want to play a game I get it on the PS3 becuase it has an actual controller.

so im playing 2k with my brother and the system just shuts off. came back on though but i cut it back off just in case it was just too hot or something.

PS: and its a shame no one posts in this thread anymore lol
