Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Anyone here use the Jabra BT-5010 headset with the PS3? Im trying to find a decent one that has a mute button without having to fork out the 49.99 for the official Sony headset. This one looks decent, has a mute button and is fairly priced but any feedback would be appreciated.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I was wondering if you guys might help me out.
My roommate recieved a PS3 for his birthday today. I already have a PS3 and it is hooked up online using a ethernet cable. We only have one modem. With two PS3's on one modem, plus a computer, will there be lag and poor online performance?
Should we just bite the bullet and buy another modem? I kinda clueless when it comes to this stuff. We haven't hooked his up yet but I've got a feeling that there's gonna be lag and poor performance online.CP: MLB The Show 11; BLOPS; UC 2.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Assuming it's a modem/router, another modem won't help anything and unless you had a seperate phone line and account I don't think it would even work.
In saying that, it all comes down to your connection speed and what exactly you guys are doing online.
I find with two computers online in my house just browsing while I'm playing online, it's fine.
However, if someone is downloading or streaming video's on their computer then I get lag in online PS3 games.Comment

We don't have another copy of MW2, getting that later today, so we're not able to test it yet. Do you think it will do fine?CP: MLB The Show 11; BLOPS; UC 2.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I think it depends on what type of speed your broadband is capable of.
Here in Oz, we are lagging behind just about every country in the world in broadband connections and two online gamers on the one connection wouldn't work so well. I mean, while I am playing Bad Company 2, my Mrs goes crazy on YouTube sometimes and it slows my connectionComment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Stupid question time: Is possible to just plug a portable HD into the USB port on the front of the PS3 and use that like an extended HD to save all your game files / music / movies etc? You can get 1 terabyte ones for pretty cheap these days.Comment

^^
I could be very wrong, but it feels like you'd have to save your game, then go to the XMB and copy the files to the external HD. I don't think you could save directly to it.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
