Is there any way to tell what version of Firmware you're getting when you buy a new PS3? Like a date to look for, or how the boxes of the 360 used to say Jasper, or Falcon, or whatever? Just want to know if there's a certain version I need to look for, to stay under 3.56. I want a V3.55 Firmware, just want to make sure I get it.

Where's the link for the international sign-ups for the inFamous 2 beta? They said there's a separate process, but didn't provide a link (if there is one yet).

As for the site, it doesn't look too bad IMO. But I barely used it when it was on the original layout, so I don't even really remember what the old look was. At least it's not as terrible as what happened to the Xbox site. There were times I couldn't get to certain sections for no reason.

No idea. I'll have to find out when I go there. But I definitely want to play UC1 first before I play the 2nd. It just wouldn't feel right to jump ahead.

Agreed on free online. Such a nice bonus to have now. My XBL was about to expire this month anyways.

Just a tip for those about to join the darkside, make sure you get an HDMI cable . The KZ3 bundle doesn't include one, just component (red, white, yellow) cables, so I ended up playing my first game of The Show with almost PS2-like graphics because the depth of field effect is completely blurred. I got very lucky and remembered I still had an HDMI cable that I kept from my old cable provider so I plugged that in and I was able to see my games the way they were meant to be, in high-definition awesomeness.

BTW, anyone know any little "secrets" about the PS3 web browser? Can I download music from any sites and save it onto my PS3?

yeah u can. i download podcasts all the time and i used to know a website to download music from but i forgot it.

if u find a site, just put the pointer on the link then press triangle, scroll down to FILE on click on it, then click on SAVE TARGET AS.

a game I recommend is Heavenly Sword. I thought it was one of the better early titles that I played.

Well, I'm no longer a PS3 owner. I bought the Show today, after not powering on my PS3 since the Show dropped last year. Brought it home, was pretty excited. Opened up my PS3 box which was stored in my office (was in garage at last house), and lo and behold, I have no PS3. Just an empty box

Somewhere, in the past 6-8 months I've narrowed it down to, someone has stolen my PS3, left the box, and took all the games out of the cases.

So... I have no PS3, but I have the show. Now I'm stuck debating whether or not I want to spend more money on a system that I didn't even know was gone til today.
