All 3 sixaxis controllers had sticky left analogs and they stick on the upwards position. I don't seem to have a problem with a DS3 though.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Splitting hairs, but you can generally get them for ~$40 online.
I was just complaining about this to my gf, though. I have a tendency to crack the plastic around the left stick at about 7 o'clock. I blame myself, but the plastic there is so damn thin I blame Sony equally.
They should be down to $30 at this point, if not $20.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I agree that the prices are ****ing ridiculous for controllers. They cost about as much as a new game and that's just dumb.
I get that the companies are trying to make money, but chances are people would buy more controllers if they weren't so damn expensive. I know personally I would have probably bought a second one by now if it was in the $25-35 price range or something like that.
The funny thing is there's been a few times I've come close to throwing my controller from being frustrated at a game, but every time I come close I just remind myself "$50 for a new one, $50 for a new one....".Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. I've got 2 working DS3 controllers, and one DS3 that the R2 button is loose thanks to Heavy Rain. I also have 2 original non rumblers that work fine I believe and then another one whose orientation gizmo thing inside that is busted.

Damn guys, how hard do you slam on those analog sticks?
Both of my controllers are pretty mint, and I've had a PS3 for like 2 years or so now.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Never had analog problems like that, but the x button always seems to become less springy with me.
My current controller I have been using for a couple months is still doing fine though.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Stupid question seeing as I probably already know the answer. I was watching a movie on my thumb drive tonight and my system suddenly shut off. I went and attempted to turn it off and on from the back of the unit and then using the power button in the front, the unit appears to try and turn on but I quickly get a very brief yellow light before it just starts blinking red and it sits like that until I turn it off from the back again. Does this mean the system is fried? Im sure thats probably what it means but figured Id ask seeing as Ive got absolutely zero money to replace it or get it fixed at the moment. Ive been searching on the internet with varying answers so any help someone can provide here would be appreciated.Comment
