I'm considering trading in/selling my 360 and getting a PS3, but I have a question about online capabilities. Does PS3's online play work well? Is it laggy? I ask because while I am not a hardcore online player, I would really miss playing COD 4 online if it doesn't work well on the PS3.

well I have COD4 and I played it online line a dozen times with no lag at all, I really have no issues with PSN, It does the job IMO.

PSN works fine, it's just not user friendly. If you want to play games online with randoms, you're golden. With friends, good luck. You have a friends list, but God only knows what it's for.

Whenever Sony finally upgrades the XMB to work in game, it should then finally reach a very usable service. Now, it's just online and that's about it.

My biggest issue with PSN is the lack of mics as standard. I don't like playing random people over the internet... and have to t-y-p-e what I want to say.

I pause the game... then they wonder why. 2 minutes later, the message comes up "need to use the bathroom." 15 minutes and 3 tacos later, I have to start typing that I'm back.

With the 360, I just tell 'em, "Guys, I had a couple of rough tacos so just give me a little time here. Don't worry, I'll mute my mic."

Which one is more enjoyable for everyone involved?

It's like this, when it comes to online play, the PSN network is like a PC, and the 360 is like a MAC, like EG said more user friendly.

I have had about 3-5 lagged games since I purchased the PS3 last Friday. COD4 is 99% flawless for me online. I have heard of problems earlier on but as of late it runs great. A year ago I would have advised you not to but now I think the PS3 is closing the gap on the 360 and fast IMO. Peace!!!

Maybe someone can help me. I had my wireless working on my PS3. I then put a WEP in to secure my network. The 360 was easy to connect. The PS3 finds my access point, I connect, and it takes my WEP no problem. But when I try to connect it can't obtain an IP Address. Any suggestions?

The 80GB will drop to $449.99.

Hopefully this is true.

If anyone is looking to buy a PS3 this weekend I would hold of until Monday. These rumors are getting hotter as Monday the 40GB is suppose to drop down to $299.99 along with the introductory of the white 40GB PS3 for $299.99 as well.

The 80GB will drop to $449.99.

Hopefully this is true.

That suxs i was gunna 80gb but if there only gunna cut it by 50 i might be tempted with a 299 40gb?

When the rumble controller supposed to come out maybe i should hold off until they start puttin them in the bundles?

I think they said sometime in Spring 08 in will be bundled. Not sure why its taking so long since Japan has had it since November.

I just read they were going to phase out the current bundles. The free motorstorm with the 80 gig, and spiderman 3 with the 40 gig. They do need to start putting the dual shock 3 with new ps3's though.
