Actually it has gotten better and in fact the last 2 games online I had zero issues. They can still improve it some more but certainly playable. 08 is supposed to be improved online as well.

Yes for mic chat, I don't know about behind the pitcher view online (I hope so)

Toys R us has a 20gb pS3 for $299. Is this a good buy considering I only play sports games.

It has no Wi-fi or memory card readers. If neither of those things bother you then get it

Ok did not know that. Thanks. Thats the kind of info I was looking for. I just got off the phone with XBOX support and I am frustrated as hell. I want out of the whole Xbox experience. I like the system but this RROD problem is just unacceptable.. Thanks for the info. You saved me from making a rush purchase. I need to take a step back and do my research.

Thanks for the response, wasn't aware of the PQ of The Departed. Kinda dissapointing, but it's one of my favorites, so i'll probably give the regular DVD to my father and pick up the Blu Ray version anyways.

And yes, BR is amazing! I picked up 3:10 To Yuma on BR the other day, and my lord what a difference. What was already an amazing looking movie is now full of little details I hadn't noticed.

Looking into buying the component or hdmi so the Componet does not upconvert dvd's? Do i have to get a PS3 HDMI or anyone will work?
