It just has to be a 2.5" drive right? Like this $99 250gb one?

Also I would recommend a 5400RPM one like that one. Some get 7200RPM but there won't be much difference and there will be more heating because of it.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I'm trying to hold off picking up a PS3. The urge to snag one just for the demo of The Show has been growing, but I think I'll hate myself for buying a system just for a demo. I'll wait for the game to release and snag one then. I'll still hate myself for spending the money, but I'll be enjoying the game too much to complain.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
It will. I made the switch a few months ago and will now sell my 360 stuff on Monday to go all PS3 for the rest of 08. The PS3 has been a huge surprise to me as I was Pro 360 for the longest time, but with each defective console and repair process, I have had enough.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I am very glad that I bought a PS3 and I am sure I will be selling my 360 once it gets back from the repair shop. It is a shame how Microsoft dropped the ball and let Sony back in the game. I am just glad we have a choice. Had Microsoft been the only HD gaming console in town, I would be very upset right now.
I have backed Microsoft with Windows and their XBox brand but I have since switched over to Mac and now the PS3. As great a company as Microsoft is, you would think they would produce better and more polished hardware and software. The repair rates on the Xbox and Xbox 360 are a joke and the bugs in Windows Vista are just uncalled for. Lately, MS has been so much in a hurry to release before the competition that their products are suffering for it.Comment

For those with displays that are NOT HDMI 1.3 compliant. Have you had problems with your PS3 when hooking-it up via HDMI? (Hand-Shake, signal coming in & out etc, etc)Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I have both but I wouldnt consider pulling the trigger unless u have a defective console. The ps3 exclusive games and online system arent on the 360's level yet. Until that happens I would hold off.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I am struggling with downloading rosters and transferring them to my PS3. I just got a PS3 yesterday (switched from the 360) and cannot figure this out for the life of me.
I have a thumb drive. I'm not sure my thumb drive recognized by my PC or laptop for some reason. I downloaded the zip file onto my desktop. Now what?
Thanks guys.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
As far as my recent purchase of a PS3, I too am shocked at exactly what you can do with it. I never realized the flexibility of this console, wow!!! The ease of swapping the hard drive for a bigger one and the ability to add a new OS to it is just a few of the things that I learned thus far.
What kind of operating system(s) can be added to the PS3?? Once added, what kind of things can be done?? Really clueless on this one
Is there any other cool things that the PS3 is capable of besides the obvious (bluray, videos, music, etc...)??
Definitely happy with my purchase!!! This will certainly cut into the time I spend on my 360. Never thought I would say thatXBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I have a question similar to J-Unit's. I will be selling my 360 as soon as it returns from McAllen and getting a PS3. My roommate already has a PS3 that is hooked up to our big screen in the living room. My question is, will I be able to easily copy/transfer save files between the two?
For example, say I start a franchise in The Show on my PS3 in my room, but I want to play a few games on the big screen in the living room. Can I just save my franchise file and my profile onto a USB drive, plug in the USB drive into PS3 in the living room, and fire it up?
I hope this is possible, because I don't want to be stuck playing all my games on my 19" LCD Dell in my room.Ryan Spencer
