No This is the 1st disc I've tried to use, I'll try Spiderman 3 and see if that works.
Thanks again
yeah, try that. If Spiderman works fine, then the the disc you got from Netflix is messed up. It happens sometimes with those movies since they are used so many times.
The problem is every time I try a new setting and it does not work I have to shut down the PS3 (or take the disk out) because the scrambled images my TV dispays I can not just hit the PS3 guide button to back out.

Arghh this is frustrating.
Thanks tho...
Are you absolutely sure your TV does 720p? I know a lot of older CRT HDTVs will do 480p and 1080i only.
Sounds like there is something wrong with the HDCP protection stuff through the HDMI. I'm guess you don't have any PS3 component cables to test it out on? Maybe a new HDMI cable will work (you can always take the cable back to where you bought it from after you test it out).
I guess since you have demos loaded you have done the PS3 system updates...

A lot of sources confirming sometime mid-end March.
The stars continue to align… Following the dubious 20th March countdown on an unknown website, a somewhat reliable Japanese news source has revealed that the Home Open Beta will begin on March 24th in Japan.
Jonnyram, as he is known on the Neogaf Forums, says in carefully chosen words “Home open beta starts 24 March in Japan. Sorry if old.”
It’s very possible that the original countdown is to signify the end of the closed beta and the beginning of a worldwide open beta for Sony’s Home. Though Jonnyram is trusted on the infamous Neogaf forums, his reliability is unknown to us, so take his words with a pinch of salt.
