I have one. Playing college hoops the back of the game case says 1080p but when playing the game it displays in 720p. Is this the case for all games?

Supposedly you have un-check the 720p & 1080i option. This forces the PS3 to output in 1080p

I sold my refurbished console from MS for $250 on ebay, and that ended quickly with buy it now. You can still sell 360's on ebay regardless of their well known lack of quality. Just explicitly state that it is used, works now, and is under MS warranty. You'll always find someone to take it.

I wouldn't sell a 360 for less than $200 at the very least, but that's just me.

I bought the MLB 08 The Show Bundle and joined the PS3 family.

How do you know when the power is low on the controller? Is there anything like the 360 controller and how the rings flash on the guide button when the battery is low?

BTW I can't believe how quiet the console is compared to the 360.

it pops up with a notification on the screen to let you know. The only thing that sucks about it is that the usb cable that came with it is like 2 feet long. You can't really play while charging with it wired unless you buy a longer cable..

You can also press the PS button to check the charge level if you are curious to know how much juice is left before the low charge warnings pop

and the ps3 lacks the ability to charge via usb when the console is off. Kind of annoying to leave a console on to charge a controller, or plug it into a pc.
