I've tried that, but it sucks when someone sends you a message and you don't get notified. I've missed invites just because I had it turned off. I don't like the "all or nothing" aspect, I wish we could pick and choose what to turn off, or at the very least let us turn off the login/out notification.

Because, like I said before, I'm scared it'll block achievements popping up.

Oh, yeah! It totally blocks achievements. EG would curl up in the fetal position and cry if that were to happen.

I just want major events (achievements, messages) to pop up, not minor ones (login logout)...maybe the NXE and Home will help us, who knows.

The hardest part is having the patience to wait for everything to back up onto your external hard drive, and re-install it after swapping HDD's. Takes FOREVER!

yeah chilli, according to the guy from IGN, it takes a hour both to back it up from the ps3 and too restore it. Like he said, do something else while you are waiting.

I just deleted the installation files and saved everything else to my flash drive.

I think the entire process took 30 minutes.

Hmm, I'd like to know the answer to this question as well.

Trophies can never get deleted, even if you delete everything off your PS3.

I finished out all the trophies for Burnout and restored my 101% save back. All my trophies are still intact, I just need to go back and do the bike license again on my full save.
