Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
It looks like both Kevin and I hit the 1,000K club this weekend. Congrats to Kevin for being the first one there.
If anyone who has the Madden Platinum could help, it would be greatly appreciated. I only have 3 trophies left to get, except that one of them is an easy online one which I can get soon. I am stuck with the one where you must cause a fumble in the endzone and the trophy with Antonio Gates. I have watched Youtube Vids, read all kinds of tips on ps3trophies.org, and what not. I spent a few hours on these today with no dice. I about had a headache from this and about to give up here soon if I can't find a way to get them. I also heard that they could be attained by playing a friend online, is that true?

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
yep, hit the 1000 mark last night. I also picked up my 12th platinum this morning with Lego Indiana Jones 2. That game was real easy, kind of fun, but it was an annoying platinum with some of the glitches in the game when it comes to unlocking trophies.

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
One of the trophies is to beat the first level in under 5 minutes. Going back and beating the level in 5 minutes from level select or quick play doesn't work, the only way to get the trophy it seems is to beat it in under 5 minutes the first time you play it in Story mode. So basically what you have to do is practice the level a few times in your regular game save in time trial mode, then when you are comfortable with your time, go and create a new game save and beat it then. It took me 4 or 5 times to figure out the best way to beat the level and I ended up doing it in 4:37. The first time through the story I beat it in 18 minutes LOL! Then a couple 6 minute runs then a couple 5 minute ones. You just gotta move fast! This was actually a fun trophy, too bad it was glitchey.
The second trophy that glitches is the one for beating the game 100% (Lego games always give you a percentage). For this one, after you get 100% all you have to do is go back and play a couple levels from the level select inside Story Mode and the trophy will pop up. Not hard to do, I'm just glad someone figured it out because getting 100% and then not getting the trophy would have been bad.
The last glitched trophy is the worst. You get a trophy for beating all the story levels in Quick Play, but when you get done there is no trophy. It turns out the safest way to get the trophy is to beat all of the levels in one sitting, then you have to create/validate/save a custom level (takes 30 seconds), then play a level in the Build Your Own Adventure mode (takes about 5 minutes), then the trophy will pop up. This was the annoying trophy because I had to play all the Quick Play levels in the same session, it took me around 3 hours and got pretty boring. Luckily by this time I had 100% so that means I had unlocked all the Extras like Invincibility, Fast build, Fast fix, etc and used those during Quick Play so it wasn't hard. Just tedious.
The game was fun but I liked the first Lego Indy game more. The first one really followed the movies well in the quirky Lego way you expect. The new game doesn't really do that. The Crystal Skull levels (there's 15 of them) were pretty good, but the original movie levels were pretty generic compared to the first Lego game. I wish there was a game with the combination of the the levels from the first game and the Crystal Skull levels from the new one. Still it is a fun game.Last edited by aukevin; 01-18-2010, 11:52 AM.

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
Wow, that sounds like more work then its probably worth. I find it kinda annoying that these glitches are still out there and yet nothing has been done in the way of patches to fix it. Hopefully it gets fixed by the time I get around to renting it from Gamefly.Comment

Nope, they are pretty much a digital high five and I don't think there is any way to turn them off. Why would you want to anyway?Ryan Spencer

Even if you don't care for them, what's the point of turning them off?
Besides... Something tells me you'll start liking them down the road... everyone eventually falls victimComment

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
Um, I can't argue against that too much.
I just don't want to be bothered. Kinda like, do you want the Jehovah's witnesses or door to door salesman coming over even though you have a prepared answer, or do you just want to have them stop for the sake of saving time.Comment
