Good luck getting gold on hustle kings... at least it's not a "complete all other trophies" thing, but hustling 100 million HKC online?!

The silver for Career complete might be even tougher than that given the upper level CPU's cheat like no one's business!

As always, thanks for the update Ryan. Looking forward to seeing what trophies can be earned in Star Ocean (though I'd rather be surprised in case any of them are story-related). I recall the battle trophies from TTEOT on the PS2, and if those are any indication it might never be platinumed.

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread

Anyone here play the Scene It game for the PS3 yet? Im stuck trying to understand why trophies arent unlocking when Im doing what it says. For instance, one trophy requires you play a certain mode and score less then 50,000 points, easy enough. I start the game, answer a few questions correctly, score roughly 6,000 and then miss every other one. At the end of the game I get no trophy, any ideas? I mean, Im not going to play the game for very long if the trophies arent going to work properly. Overall its a fun game for a group setting but Ive already got Buzz and Trivial Pursuit for that, this one was supposed to get me some more trophies and its clearly not working. Any help would be appreciated.

Chef, I don't have the game so I have no idea how it works, I'm just throwing out an idea.

Do the trophies have to be achieved on a certain difficulty, or other setting? I know for some games (Madden 10) you had to be on a certain difficulty playing at least 5 minute quarters. Again I have no idea how the game works so I could be way off base but it may be something to look into.

Hopefully someone with the game can help you out here.

Unfortunately there are no difficulty settings for the game. You can set it for the long or short version and Ive tried both and still nothing. Other then that, the only other things you can change is the host being on/off and Ive tried both ways with that as well. I tried doing a search online and cant find anything so apparently nobody out there is playing Scene It at all, I even tried GameFaqs.com and there is literally only 3 posts about the game and nothing about this trophy. Thanks for your suggestion though.

EDIT- I finally found some info and it all points to the trophy setup being extremely buggy with this game. If anyone is thinking about buying this game, make sure its for the fun factor and has nothing to do with trophies as they arent working correctly for a majority of them.

On a side note, I see so many people with the Platinum in Madden, how did you achieve all the trophies that require you to do certain things like tackle a player inside the 5 yard line? Is there a way to set these up to make them easier or did everyone just get them naturally by playing the game itself and unlocking them as they played?

Use two controllers. Amazingly though, I got the Antonio Gates tackle inside the 5 on the first game I ever played LOL.

You probably get like 60-70% of all the trophies legitamately by playing through a season or 2 of franchise, or a bunch of quick play games. The rest you can easily get by setting up 2 controllers.

It's gonna take a million deaths, but eventually you'll get it. Good luck!

Im going to ask a stupid question as Im sitting here and cant for the life of me understand how this works. When you say 2 controllers, how does this work exactly? For instance, I set myself up as the opponent of SD and allow them to get down within my 5 yard line and then what? Hope they call a play to Gates and I can tackle him? I cant control SD and allow myself to get tackled while using Gates as that doesnt work does it? Im extremely clueless about this for some reason.

That's where the second controller comes in handy, as you do all the dirty work there. You play as SD w/ controller two, get yourself to within the 5... Call a short pass play to Gates (sub him to HB if it makes it any easier) and just chill before the endzone a la Maurice Jones-Drew.

As for the first controller, all you're doing is picking the defensive plays.

Yeah, you pretty much set up one controller to get yourself in the situation needed to get the trophy, and the other to execute the action needed to unlock the trophy. For example using one controller to play as the Cardinals and throw passes to Fitzgerald, and use the other controller to pull away the defender to make user catching the pass easier, in order to get the larry sticky fingers trophy.

                            Hope this clears things up.

I just got that platinum a week or so ago, and actually found the crushing difficulty easy. I died more from platforming errors.

It's not any different than other "highest" difficulties in other games, where it's best to break it down by exploiting AI and level design. I even think it's easier when doing some tough spots more like a FPS, as you look down the sights of your gun and and inch around corners, rather than run up to cover and pop out at enemies.

On that one I found it easiest to just call a FG block on the defensive side, and send Fitz on a fly route. One downside was he got tired pretty quick, but he was uncovered every time, and I didn't have to worry about safety help.
