You do have to manually sync. The other difference is that you need to use this method to be eligible for playfire's leaderboards.

Of course, I other problem is that I tried this this afternoon and it still hasn't updated.

Looks like I will just be waiting for Sony's solution, which hopefully is coming shortly.

I dont care about the leaderboards as there are people out there with tons of trophies compared to the 94 I have and if Im manually updating anyways then this is worthless to me. Thanks for the info.

There are guys on other boards with 700-800+ trophies. I was like holy crap!

I am trying out this new update to Playfire right now and hopefully it turns to be cool.

Yeah Im pretty sure Ive seen guys with over 1000 trophies but since I saw it online who knows how many were legit and how many were guys just bumping their ego through the usage of trophies. I dont see this as being much of a big deal since it really isnt doing anything I couldnt do before, unless of course your big into rankings on the website and whether the trophies depicted are legit, other then that this seems completely pointless.

For it to automatically update wouldnt it have to be synched up with Sony somehow? The way I see it is you go there and click a button when your ready to synch it, sorta like what we do on the PS3 itself already, and then it updates everything for you. On a side note, I attempted to set it up yesterday and still havent gotten this email thats supposed to notify me when my card is ready, did it take this long for you as well? I tried again today and its still telling me it will email me when its ready and its starting to become more of a pain in the *** then its worth.

Im not big into leaderboards but I would like things to be easier in terms of tracking these trophies then they are currently. Let me know if you find anything else out if you think about it, thanks in advance.

EDIT- How did you get that screen grab like that? I can use the old trusty "PrtSc", paste to Paint and save but then I get a completely different layout then what you posted obviously, am I missing something obvious?

I guess the Playfire PSN card is supposed to link to this but I have tried it a few times and their servers are overloaded.

I use a program called SnagIt, it is excellent for taking screen captures.

It also appears that it doesnt update automatically and that everytime I add trophies I have to go through the same procedure, or in other words this is a complete joke.

EDIT- I should add that this option is now down since Playfire and Sony are going to work together in making an automated trophy card for all PSN ID's, when it finally happens is anyones guess but they have since taken down the service that produced the card above and will be working on the automated one from here on out.

So if I chose the automatic one then I need to go to the website and synch it whenever I add a trophy anyways or does it do it on its own automatically somehow? Im getting the feeling that this isnt much different then before other then not having to manually click on the trophy to add it, there has to be something Im missing though?

Just remember one thing, it takes about 1-2 days for the initial card to be created from the initial sync due to their servers being hammered.

Yeah but they have now pulled the plug since they are working with Sony on some sort of automated trophy display so hopefully that pans out and works well without the insane wait times that were associated with this most recent attempt.
