EDIT: I just saw this at Best Buy.com... when does the deal end?

Best buy ad sales are run from sunday open to Sat. The trick is you have to put the game on the same receipt as the console...Now I will run buy tonight or tomorrow as I will be getting the Ps3 with the show....I will try and confirm it's a instant free game instead of a mail in rebate...

What's so tricky about that? Meaning you aren't able to return the game you bought?

I'm willing to risk that. That is, my friend is willing to risk that (considering he'll want The Show anyway).

I'm not saying it's tricky. I'm just saying to get the deal you have to put both on same ticket. You can't buy the ps3 today and then tomorrow choose a game then go back in and get it for free... I played the show for a long while days ago. I can't wait to get in on this deal. It will have to be tomorrow as I can't make it to BB tonight I'm jonsing for THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!

I would ask Best Buy first that they'll price match the lower price when/if it drops. Since you're getting a free game, they may not honor the lower price later on. Just an FYI.

I say 30 dollars or so isn't worth taking a chance on a price drop. That is if you are waiting. Good luck all and enjoy your new ps3's if you get them.

IMO for a possible savings of 40.00. Either way you can't go wrong.

For Ps3 Now and show 399.00+tax

For Ps3 if price drops and Show 299 for Ps3 and 59.99 for Show= 359.00+tax

I am not going to tell you what to do because it depends on your situation. I'm sure whenever he decides to get a Ps3 IMO it will be worth it. Blu ray plus gaming..how can you beat it

I have been on the fence about this one for a long time. Hitting that $299 price point with MLB 09 The Show and Killzone 2 out, I will most likely pick it up when it happens.

EG I agree on this one. IF it was a TV or a PC they'd honor it. They did with a CPU, digital camera, and a TV (my girlfriend got). As long as it's with in the 30 days.

Again, a console could be a different story. But since it's "hardware" i can see them honoring it.

This might be the time to use my warranty to trade in my 40GB for one of these 80GB systems at the lower price

Thats exactly what Im waiting to do, Ive got until December of this year to do it so Im waiting for a nice price drop where I can pick up an 80GB or better for the same price that I paid for my 40GB back in 2007.

Including freebies though? I've done price changes, but never one where they were giving away $60 worth of free product.

I would look at it with Toys R Us, when they do their buy 2 get 1 free sale. If those games drop in price after purchase, they won't price match due to you getting them on special.

All I'm saying is, I would ask first before purchase to make sure.
