Re: PS3 Repair and/or Death Thread

True, no need to overreact but until I'm proven otherwise I'm just going to assume that Sony and Microsoft don't care much about fixing these issues and will instead rely on replacing with refurb units.

Is there anything more baffling than Microsoft STILL being plagued with the RROD problem even with their new units? Just think of how much money they are throwing away just shipping those things back and forth. I hope Sony doesn't follow along the same path.Ryan Spencer

Re: PS3 Repair and/or Death Thread

The Slim has barely been out! There better not be many dying.

Quite frankly, hearing about the Slim crapping out just makes my decision to stick with my 60 GB easy. I was thinking of trading it for a Slim to "beat the YLOD to the punch" but there is no guarantee that the Slim will be any better in this regard. If mine dies I will just have a local guy fix it for $80 and keep on chugging. I'm almost three years with mine and my history with the PS1 and PS2 has usually hinted at a death/major problems around the 3.5 or 4 year old mark. I figure I have another year with mine before I have to pump money into it.Comment

Re: PS3 Repair and/or Death Thread

Yeah, you're right, I made it up for what reason?

 And for what it's worth.

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves. For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

Wasn't trying to get you upset over the PS3, I was just reporting that a friend of mine who works with me had his PS3 Slim die over the weekend.Last edited by ExtremeGamer; 02-02-2010, 11:23 AM.Comment
