I TOTALLY AGREE!!! 1 gazillion da frillion times.....!
After "fixing" mine twice (1st time it lasted a week the next time about 2 weeks) it is dead again. F it.
I'm getting a new slim and will still probably get the 60gb system fixed. I'll just sell it then. Or throw it on EBAY now and sell it As - Is with no HDD.
congratulations Owl. happy gaming."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"

Re: PS3 Repair and/or Death Thread
Hey, I was wondering if anyone could answer the following for me. My friend told me that his PS3 stopped reading PS3 games but it still reads everything else. Does anybody know what the issue might be for his PS3?"Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: PS3 Repair and/or Death Thread
Welp, the probable happened last night. My old 80 gb fatty PS3 YLOD on me...WHILE PLAYING RED DEAD.
It's still under a store warranty from Target, so I'm getting it fixed but I already went back to Target and bought their last new 120gb slim. Since this will be the second time my 80gb is going in for service. First time was for a dead blu-ray laser.
The worst part is Red Dead is stuck inside my old system, so it's going to be a month until I get to play that again.
Anyone know a way to clean sweep a PS3 harddrive clear of all my personal info? When I go to sell the old one I don't want anything on it.Last edited by DorneyDave; 06-01-2010, 02:22 PM.Comment
