Thanks Burns. I am not too sure if I turned off auto-renewal or not since I can't afford a year sub right now.........but I would think they would try to renew another 3 months since that is what I had before. I used a PSN card to buy PSN+, so I wonder if they will just charge my debit card on file.

Go to Account Management and see if you have that option on that will automatically add $5.00 to your wallet if necessary (or however many $5.00 increments it would need to replenish the subscription, if necessary). Otherwise, I can't imagine it would automatically roll over expecting for you to pony up the cash if you don't even have that much on file.

Of course, if it's a debit card and not a credit card, then it just might. I didn't know you could put debit cards on your account actually. I should have done that in the first place.

It said in the little note that it would charge your wallet, and if there weren't enough funds in it then they would charge the card on file.

IMO, yes. The free games that come along with it, the discounted prices, trial games, early demos, and just the + sign next to your name all come together very well for the price I'm paying (currently it's a year's worth plus three more free months).

The only thing that's gonna suck is having to keep paying it and giving it its money's worth, meaning playing all of those games. I just don't have much time to do it all, and I wish there was a way to keep the content even if I wasn't still subscribed so I could even out the play time.

That's why I feel I'm better off just buying the PSN games I really want instead of paying for PSN+.

Re: Playstation Plus - Premium PS3 Service

I've gotten pretty good use of the PS+ over the last few months, so I am liking it more as time goes by. I've gotten some pretty fun free games and a few discounts. I wish the discounts were across the board though, it'd help save money on my Rock Band 3 purchases as well as encourage me to buy new PSN games rather than wait for sales later.

Thanks for the replies. I decided I'm going to go ahead and get it. It's part of my Christmas gift from my wife. She doesn't know what it is lol but she's gonna buy a psn card to buy it with.

If there was ever a time to buy into it, I would say it's right now.

If you subscribe right now or before next Tuesday you'll be able to get Shatter (awesome PSN game that's a fresh take on Brickbreaker), Dynogems (mini), Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey (PSone Classic) and Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves for free.

Next Tuesday, you get all of the episodes of Sam & Max (basically worth more than half of the yearly subscription fee), Fieldrunners (a Minis re-release for Plus users which is weak for those of us who have been subscribers but is a great game for those who haven't played it), and Crash Team Racing (PSone Classic).

It's worth it, even though some weeks it can feel like it is not. I feel like I have gotten my money's worth and can't complain. I really need to get my hands on another PSP to take advantage of these PS1 classics I have sitting on my PS3. They look horrible blown up on the TV, but would be nice on the PSP.
