Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Wife just got to see all the Kinect stuff. Needless to say, the dance game amongst others will be in my household this fall. She loves the Wii but immediately goes "sell it, get this", right there with ya. Wii is history for me in about 3 months.Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Yes, the prices dropped on the current stock. Arcade is now $149 and the Elite is $249. MS is going to try and clear these out with new system coming later this week. There are so many of these out that I can see the old bundles lasting for sometime at these prices. Getting an Arcade with a cheap HDD is a good way to go for some.Comment

With the new 360 does this mean we will no longer have to deal with a SKU without a HDD?Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
The more i think about it and MS's press conference....
i am really probably excited about the whole ESPN thing they brought on that could be interesting.
I could see this XBOX360 slim being in a price cut by the holiday's and being bundled with "Kinect" which would probably be the smart thing for me to wait for to buy.
I want more MS exclusives and more studios from MS if that makes sense i am tired of Halo and Gears every year i want more adventure games and other type of conceptsEA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Getting rid of the lower priced arcade entirely and only selling a $300 model seems pretty stupid really. MS has a lower price advantage that a cheaper to manufacture slim 360 should only improve on. It makes no sense at all to actually raise the cost of entry this many years into the console's lifespan.
You can actually argue that this should have been a bundle WITH natal for $299, and I actually see MS doing exactly that this holiday.Comment
