I use it vert, which means the hot air is coming out the right side.

Horizontal it would come out the top.

Just my guess from messing with it a little

anybody notice the new 360 slim being kinda hot ontop? felt really warm to me for some reason..

i was going to make a whole new thread about this, but glad i read this thread and saw this comment before i created anything. i noticed this as well after about an hour of playing RDR. i was surprised since i have my 360 set up with proper ventilation and spacing, house is not hot since central air is pumped in, and RDR was installed to my hard drive.

got me a little concerned, but now i feel less stressed as it may just be how the machines operate.

I believe the arcade version is coming later this year with a 60 gig HDD and no wifi.

BB pissed me off today. I walk in, grab the 360 and am on the way to the register when Jabroni 1 approaches me about the Geek Squad plan. I refuse to deal with them and move on.

At the register, Jabroni Girl 2 tells me about the Geek Squad plan. I refuse, but she continues. At this point it's becoming tiresome. When she sees I'm not going to accept, she says it's going to ROD. She's says in her own words: "All these 360s are going to ROD. It's what they do so you might as well get the plan." At this point I'm beyond frustrated. If these were in higher stock I would have left it at the counter and went else where. I also asked her if I should call the manager. When she said why I told her that's she selling me a product and guaranteeing it will break. If my GSD wasn't in the car I probably would have pushed this to a manager as I was pretty frustrated.

I'm sure that's how it suppose to be. I remember the original PS3's were cooler on the outside while the new PS3 slims are warmer.

I really really really want that man. It'd take a lot of convincing my wife though, don't know if it's worth it. I might just make an impulse buy and worry about the consequences later.

Thats what I ended up doing this morning, needless to say the wife was pissed! The good thing about it is I rarely make purchases like this, so she wasn't upset longer than a few hours.

I'd be cautious about picking that box up whoever sees it.

The thing I love most is that it is shiny black and small, looks good on my setup.

I used a 2gig usb memory stick.

yeah, i was a lil worried, but no so much any more!!

also, side track a bit, what is the best usb drive to use? is one better than another, more reliable etc?

flash drive. The MGR at Gameslop tried to convince me to buy the transfer cable and told me it would take hours to transfer with a flash drive. Took all of about 30 seconds

Schaumburg area. Power went out at 4:00 and came back around 7:30. Went out again with the new storm at 9:30 but came back within the minute. At this point I probably won't hook it up till all this passes.
