Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I don't have any trouble on my iMac, but once you back up.. can you browse the files when the Vita isn't attached.
Also, can anyone get Remote play to work? Perhaps I am doing it incorrectly but I have set it up and I can't connect unless I already have my PS3 on and its in the Remote play menu.
I thought I could turn on my PS3 via internet or local network and browse it from my Vita, but I can't connect to it either way.Gamertags

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Well it's like a lot of new products, software & hardware alike. Most stuff when compatible with pc OS's are usually designed to work with Windows 7.
I'm sure they can patch it or make a work around for older OS's down the road. It isn't like they're obligated to make it compatible with all OS's old and new.
I'm sure something will come down the road.Comment

There's a setting for it. I forgot what it was though. It works for me.I don't have any trouble on my iMac, but once you back up.. can you browse the files when the Vita isn't attached.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
It does work, but two things have to be done before you can power on the PS3 from the Vita (or the PSP, for that matter). You need "Remote Start" set to On in the System Menu (Remote Play Settings). And you have to have your main user account (the one connected to your PSN account) set to Automatic Login.I don't have any trouble on my iMac, but once you back up.. can you browse the files when the Vita isn't attached.

I have both of those set.... it just doesn't connect. I've tried through network and internet and neither work.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if it is because I have my PS3 wireless. I don't get a great connection on it unless its wired.
I have been wanting to move my router into the same room so I can go wired since downloads on PS3 take so freaking long (compared to 360).
I might do that this weekend, then try.Gamertags

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
If I knew someone running VISTA I'd suggest the same thing.
I had a printer that under no circumstances would work with VISTA. XP it was fine. I got W7 and the same printer worked flawlessly. They probably just didn't want to watse their resources and time trying to get the program to work with a half a$$ed OS.Joshua:

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Did you register your PSVita on the PS3? If not, you have to plug it into the PS3 and do that in order for remote play to work. My PS3 is wireless and it is not an issue.I have both of those set.... it just doesn't connect. I've tried through network and internet and neither work.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I agree. I've been selling this thing to friends and family by putting it in their hands. Every one of them has been impressed.Me and my brother were talking the other nie and it just seems Sony is horrible at marketing these things.
We both agreed that with the Vita and the PS3 the commercials on TV do nothing to sway someone to buy these things.
I dont know why someone as powerful as Sony cant do competent marketing.
Here are a few commerciasl that would work....
Commercial 1-
Guy sits down after a long day of work and his wife wants to watch toddlers and Tiaras on their 60 inch tv. He whips out the Vita and plays Uncharted with a smile. End of commercial.
Commercial 2-
Guy comes home from work and his wife still has the day care kids running around the house plus his own three kids. With a smile he walks upstairs and locks himself in the bathroom while starting Fifa on the Vita.
Commercial 3-
Guy goes blows a tire and has to sit in Tires plus for 2 hours. He spends the entire time playing wipeout with a smile. The end.
All three commercials could say "Inspired by true events' at the bottom because they happened to me over the past two days.

Someone please answer this for me. Is the vita a phone as well? I keep telling my friend that the WiFi network from at&t is just so you can do stuff away from wifi hot spots but he has it set in his mind that it's a phone.
I may be wrong but I thought it wasnt. Someone please clear this up for me. Lol.
