Does anyone know how to setup a private tournament in Hot Shots Golf? I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

yeah, but I don't have my Vita with me for the exact steps. What I remember is go to the online section of the game (not multiplayer), then go into any lobby. Then press the triangle button and go from there. I wish I could remember what the next step is, but it is on that triangle menu. Once you create the room you'll want to create a Real Tournament and that'll allow 7 others to play with you, then you'll set the rules for your tournament. I never saw an invite option for the room though, so you'll have to let your friends know where you are. I used the Vita Party app to meet up first and then you can voice chat while golfing. Only problem is once you are in HSG online, you can't put that game in the background or it will drop your HSG Online connection (dumb). But you can continue to voice chat with your buddies while the Party app is in the background.

Ok, I will try it. Thanks!

With the new update, the information on the net in news releases made it sound like there was an option to set it up right off the bat in the menus. I'm guessing you have to play real time with everyone present.

Wish they had a feature where you just setup the tourney with a deadline date of when it needs to be completed then your friends can play whenever they could on their own, similiar to the daily tournies setup.

Well, looks like I'm joining the Vita crowd. Just won an auction on Ebay, awaiting a reply from the seller regarding shipping.

If all goes smoothly, I am now the owner of a Vita, 4GB MC, Blue carrying case, and Mortal Kombat.

I really wanted MLB to come with it, I will be scouring the interwebz for MLB.

Just lost out on a auction for MLB, it ended up selling for $18, but I was away from the computer.

I know you guys gave Mortal Kombat a decent review, so I hope it can give me some decent playing time for a bit.

Mortal Kombat is awesome. However, if you're good and play the PS3 version you may find that you can be a little rough on the buttons. I'm a hardcore MK player. I can't play it on the Vita because I'm so rough on the buttons when I'm bustin out massive combos and counters.

It's really tough to explain. I love the game. But I'm afriad to play it. I can pick me up a quick 50 dollar controller for the PS3, I can't just go out and buy a new vita if I break the buttons...

I agree here this has been my go to game when I find myself bored with the others.

Does anyone know if there is a way to download the PSP version of NCAA Football on my PS3 and then transfer it to my Vita and play it.

I have heard there is a work around to get some old PSP games onto the Vita. Just don't want to screw up my Vita.

I understand completely what you are saying! With any game like that, button mashing comes into play. I'll probably avoid that if I feel it would ruin the system's buttons in any way.

I don't have a PS3, but if this new slimmer PS3 really will come out at $99, I'll pick one up.

Hmm, I vaguely looked into that game. I will do some research and see. I hope Madden is a solid effort.

I don't really think it's possible to screw up a Vita like that - worst case scenario is that the game you want to copy over doesn't appear in the Vita's Content Manager screen (and is therefore not compatible).

Which NCAA is it? I'm going to try it with Madden 10 PSP which I purchased quite some time ago - that might give you an idea of whether it can be done with NCAA.

To copy them over, first download the PSP game from the store (either directly from a purchase or via your download list), connect the Vita to the PS3 and go into Content Manager. Tap on "PS3 System -> Vita System", "Applications", "Applications (PSP/Other), "Applications Downloaded on the PS3 System", and, if it's compatible, NCAA will show up on the next screen. From there just select it, hit copy and it's done! I did have cases where the copy failed the first time when trying to do multiple games, but it always worked fine the second time.

Edit: Madden '10 is a go.

Ok thank you I will try it with NCAA 10. I believe that is the best one they had on PSP.

I know it won't be great but at least have some football on my Vita.

The PS Vita Portable Charger is onsale for $30 at amazon.com. Not sure how long that price is good for. This thing works great, definitely recommend if you want to do long gaming sessions with the Vita.
