Wait, what's the obvious... If they can't get enough 3rd party support what can they do... Maybe put more first party support, they can't force anything on anyone.

Can we get a head count of all those in this thread playing Hot Shots right now? I think we've got more than enough to do some kind of tournament like we did for OOB if we can just get it coordinated.

I am playing. I've only unlocked 3 courses and characters, but I'm up for some online play.

Probably referring to price. By the time they drop it they're be facing a 3DS XL in their market (a market the 3DS continues to sell it by wide margins) and a flood of $200 Andorid 4.1 tablets, new Kindles, Windows 8 phones/tablets, the iPhone 5 and probably a new iPad among other devices competing for disposable income.

Probably also going to be competing against inevitable price cuts for the PS3 and 360 making them still lower than Vita (ignoring the $99 w/ contract 360).

I truly hope and pray the Vita makes it. I love it. The PSP was great when it came out, but this thing is the best of all worlds right now.

The browser could be better, but other than that little thing (which I barely use) it is great. It gives me everything I wanted out of a tablet, but better, as far as games. And having a phone that never leaves my side takes care of the browser part.

I play a lot of hot shots as well. I'm not that great and I've never played online but id be up for it.

And I totally agree with cjonesfan. I really really really love my Vita. I play the crap out of it and absolutely love the fact that I can play high quality games on the go. I think the Vita will see success when two things happen:

1) More recognizable games come out. Right now, the system has a bunch of games that are great. Two of my favorite games right now (and this goes for any system, not just handheld) are Disgaea and Blazblue. I play both of them often but 90 percent of my friends have never even heard of either. Ill even admit that I had never played either until this year. I think the fact that the system is getting two of the most popular gaming franchises on the system soon (Madden and Call of Duty) is big. I know that Madden 13 for Vita is basically Madden 12.5 but the face of the matter is that its Madden. I guarantee you the name alone will be worth plenty of sales.

2) A price drop. This one is obvious but I can't count how many people I've shown me Vita too that have been impressed and interested in purchasing one. Once I tell them the price though they always say, "well I might as well just buy a 360/PS3 for all that. Personally I think the Vita is worth the money I paid for it but I can understand how somebody would not want to spend all of that money on a handheld.

At the end of the day, I just really want the system to succeed. I must say though, I am hopeful. I guess we will see soon enough.

Perhaps we should start a HSG thread in the Golf forum? It'd be nice to organize things by time zone, too, since guys like me in the Mountain or Western time zone might have a hard time getting together with those on the East Coast.
