Yes, the Vita puts out some really nice sound, but unfortunately the sound output is a little weak so anything that needs a little oomph to drive would really need an amp.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Just picked up the Sony Vita headphones and "wow" what a difference from the old pair I was using that I had laying around the house. These headphones are great and for the price you can't beat them, IMO. Great reviews too. Makes playing games so much more immersive.

ICO HD Vita Remote Play: Sony "almost ready with a patch"
Sony's "almost ready with a patch" for ICO HD that will enable Remote Play on PlayStation Vita, Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said today.
He tweeted a picture of the game running on Vita, and wrote: "I was play testing ICO HD Remote Play on PS Vita. We are almost ready with a patch. Beautiful on OLED. More info soon."
The Tokyo Game Show is two weeks away, and would be an obvious event around which to release such a patch.
Sony teased Remote Play support for ICO earlier this year. Other "expected supporting titles" mentioned were God of War, God of War 2 and Shadow of the Colossus.
Remote Play allows you to stream-play a PS3 game on Vita - using the handheld's screen as the display.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Yeah, it ran pretty well. There were a few times where during the play call screens it was stuck on a bit longer, but on gameplay very smooth with no issues. EA really surprised us and I hope this sold well so we can get a fully featured version next year.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
That's good news on Remote Play, but it really needs to expand to allow everything. Seriously, deliver me the downside of Remote Play inclusion for all titles, even on Sony's end.
Let me put it up with an example: let's say you have a game that's available on both PS3 and Vita, like MLB 12: The Show (where the title is actually the same). I have both a PS3 and Vita, and I'd like to play it on both. If Remote Play was available for the PS3 version of this game, would I just buy it for that? No. Why? Because Remote Play is only playable for games with the Private Network setting, IMO. That means I have to be in the house to play it. There is also a slight, slight input delay, depending on your connection strength. Include the fact that you're missing some button features that are lost to the rear touch pad, and you have yourself many downsides to playing it on the Vita with R.P. That means I will still want to buy the Vita version.
However, let's flip the coin. Say I want to play a game that's on PS3 and not available for Vita, like SSX. I would like to be able to play that on my Vita, even if it's just around the house with Private Network. Not only is Sony not losing money on that, but it might actually entice somebody to buy the PS3 version of something, knowing they can also perhaps get some action on the Vita with it as well. If they actually then make the game for Vita, then it can be played on the go.
The Internet connection setting for Remote Play just is far too choppy, laggy, and poor in quality to actually play a game on it, so you can't be out of the house and playing any of these games. I think the reason for that setting is to access anything that doesn't necessarily need your input response time to be on point. This could include watching/listening to any media that you have.
The custom firmware videos showed Red Dead and Battlefield being played with Remote Play, and they simply looked awesome.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Flip side of that, though, is you have a bunch of idiots with PS3s. Instead of trying a game, seeing it doesn't work, saying "oh well, Sony might fix it later", and moving on to the next game like someone with sense, they bitch on the internet, they inundate customer service, etc. I wish they would open it up to try as well, but knowing how people are I can't blame them.Comment

For Zen, the only actual new one at this point is Plants vs. Zombies. The rest are all updated versions of every Zen and Marvel table. Pinball Arcade has the Monster Bash and Gorgar pack today as well.Comment
