Bought the Vita today. 1st time ever owning a PS product... Wish I would've bought immediately and grabbed the Assassin's Creed bundle... Had to settle for the Batman bundle... Grabbed a starter kit that was on clearance as well and that included a 4gb card... Now just gotta wait for a game called "The Show"... Never played but heard it's good...

Guys, download the 3.10 system update at your own discretion. After attempting to update today, I can no longer get my Vita to turn on with my 32gb card in the system. The blue PS button just flashes, as does the PS logo on the screen.

Turns out, a lot of people are having issues now with the update, and most are attributed to the 32gb memory card (there are cases of smaller/larger cards also having issues). My 8gb card does work, but I still had to reset the system settings just to get to that point, so a bit of a hassle. Called Customer Service and the guy had no clue what I was talking about. I told him to read his forums, plus a few others. His solution was to re-format my memory card. That's great, but again, when I can't do ANYTHING with my Vita (can't access Safe Mode), kind of hard to re-format a memory card. Plus, I really don't want to lose all that data.

Thanks for the heads up DJ. I didn't get around to downloading last night, due to being busy. I happen to have a 32gb card too.

No problem. Figured I'd save other people the hassle. Really annoying that I can't even power on the system with the card in there. There's a couple of games that I'm close to finishing, but don't recall when the last time was I backed up the data to the PS3 (don't have Plus), so I'm really hoping a fix is rolled out that won't involve me having to reformat the memory card.

Knock on wood..Didint see this until now and I updated my Vita this morning and I too have a 32gb card in as well. Havent had an issue since update. My Vita rebooted and came back up fine during the update. I keep my Vita in standby mode on the dock when not in use. Not sure I want to power it down after reading this.

Has anyone had any issues with the new update on a 64 GB card?

Do the 64 GB cards exist? I'm still waiting on one, actually.

From what I've read on various forums, it seems this incident is isolated to the 32gb stick. I think there was one person with a 64gb that had an issue, but most reported no problems.

Man, I really don't know what I'm going to do about this. Guess I'll just set the Vita aside and wait to see if Sony can fix this. If not, I am really not going to like losing all my save files, plus photos and other media. Not to mention, those memory sticks are expensive. I bought mine on sale but still, very pricey. If I wind up getting stuck with a 32gb stick that doesn't work, Sony better be ready to compensate me for the loss.

Right now, the 64 GB cards are only sold in Japan. But you can import one for around $80. There are no region protection issues. They work fine on American and European Vitas.

No issue here with the update, although after I read about the problems people were having I took out my 32 GB memory card before updating. The Vita still runs without it, and the card isn't even needed for firmware installations.
