    Kevin,
I recently have been playing The Show a lot on the Vita. I had forgotten that it is a great game. I probably play a little each day. Before then, I played the Vita very little. I mostly use it for remote play now at home. Give The show another go, it's great.

Thanks, I'm sure I will. I'm ready to play some baseball again. I haven't tried the remote play on it yet, I'm going to try that out this weekend to see what it's like.

I'm not sure what button on the PS4 does it. I think it's the L and R buttons. If its L2 or R2 you have to use the touchpad on the back of the vita.

As someone who hasn't followed the Vita much at all but is finally considering getting one (mostly to play my PS4 games on) how does that work? Lag much? How do you use your R2/L2 since I don't think Vita has a corresponding button (I could be wrong).

As far as memory goes what size memory cards should I be looking at from the get go?

Doubt I'll get it right away, more likely around the release of The Show but that's something I'm curious about, what all from a PS4 game can I do on the vita because don't they also make the show for the vita so I assume it's limited in what you can play on it due to that.

Only games I currently have on PS4 are Black Flag and Second Son, do they crossover well to Vita?

Two weeks in, and I'm really enjoying it... My kids play the Batman game and I just play the FIFA demo...

Tuesday is going to be so fun with the Show coming out...

I would love an NHL game for this...

I pulled out my Vita and hunted for all the charging stuff and got it back up and ready for The Show on Tuesday. I tried out Remote Play for the first time with infamous, that was pretty cool. I was expecting the extra button controls to be used on the back touchpad rather than the front, but I'm happy they are on the front, works better that way.

How do they assign the triggers to buttons on the front, don't those already correspond to things? Do you click the thumbsticks or something?

Sorry if that's a dumb question, just curious since I'm looking to get one around May.

I think they mean there must be icons on the touchscreen that they have mapped for the Vita. I know that Assassin's Creed patched something in similar to this.

This is something that most every game should do for Remote Play.

Sorry, like Blzr said, I meant the front touch screen. The center of the front touchscreen is the touchpad of the PS4 controller, then the four corners of the screen are the R2, R3, L2, L3 buttons. When you press the PS button on the Vita, it will show you the button mapping.

I actually hate that, not sure if you can change it, but the little I played I was tapping the back like a madman and nothing happens. I don't have free fingers to tap the front when my thumbs are on the sticks.

Picked up a Vita for my son and myself. Have a question about remote play. I went ahead and did the initial set up and registration. I started a game via the PS4, turned off the tv, and continued using the Vita. Cool, right? However, the problem I've run in to is when I try and put the PS4 in to stand by via the Vita, my connection is lost and I cannot resume the game I was playing. Does the PS4 have to always be on (white light)? I thought I could play with the PS4 in stand by (orange light). I watched a video and this guy simply press the PS button on his Vita and was playing the game while his PS4 was in stand by. What am I doing wrong?

                            Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion

The PS4 has to be on for Remote Play. The idea of Remote Play is that you are playing your PS4 with a non-PS4 controller and screen that is not hooked up with your PS4, in this case the Vita. The Vita isn't running the game at all, it is streaming it; the PS4 is running the game. So when you put it in standby, you're suspending play.

Though apparently, if you're away from your PS4 and you want to play Remote Play with your Vita, you can turn on your PS4 from standby remotely with the Vita. Maybe that's what you saw in the video, I don't really know. I don't know what that video was that you saw. Care to share it if you can find it?

Thank you very much for the explanation. I guess I was using it correctly then. It only drove me crazy for a couple hours! So, I assume I can start up Infamous SS, turn off the TV and my surround sound system, take the Vita upstairs and continue playing. When I am done playing, I go to the settings on the PS4 via the Vita, and shut down or put the PS4 in stand by mode? Can I also start up the PS4 from stand by mode while upstairs without having to manually turn on the PS4, barring I have the game in the console I want to play?

Yes on both accounts. When you try to connect to the PS4 with the Vita, as long as it's in standby it will turn on.
