Yeah, the 3g seems a pretty useless option. I've come to the conclusion that, assuming Sony gets the remote play working well, I am in at some point this year (probably not launch though).

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I have to say I may have misjudged the Vita, I was dismayed with the Show teams decision to put off features for the PS3's version, in favor of development for the Vita's version. How the hell are they going to put that much emphasis on this "over hyped portable psp 2 with better graphics then the psp and some gimmicky new features"?
So I checked this thread out, mainly because I was bored, and I like to be up on all of the new tech stuff and I value people's thoughts and opinions here on OS quite a bit. So I see that remote play hacked video that bigfnjoe posted^ and I thought to myself well that's pretty damn cool. I had heard that the Vita had it's own exclusive Uncharted game, well.... that's my favorite series of all-time, so I checked it out.
I found a HQ video of some dude playing it on from IGN, and was blown away with the graphics from the start, OK this blows the PSP away. then this guy shows off the touch screen and the simplicity of it, and a sequence where he uses his finger to brush off a map and reveal clues, damnit I'm hooked. I wanna get my damn hands on one. it just looks incredible, this is gonna be a dream for people on the road all the time, and just chilling in a motel.
I did have a psp when I was in HS. you do get a really immersive experience on the handheld units. I loved laying back in the bed with my headphones on blast playing The Syphon Filter series. Gabe Logans Shadow was incredible and I had the Show. I had some blissful moments, when I couldn't afford a PS3.
I'm gonna hold off on this, I'm not sure I can justify buying one when I own a ps3 already, other then some of the exclusives, I wanna see how the remote play feature works, and watch ya'll's impressions when yall get a hold of it. If they come out with a new Syphon Filter Series though... I may have to reconsider, they have a gift with handheld's, consoles not soo much.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I want one, but not entirely sure I need one.
I purchased a PSP recently and returned it within a week. I thought I would get use out of it, but didn't. I'll wait for a price drop and see the quality and quantity of games.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I want one and know I don't need one. I'm just a junkie when it comes to tech.
I will say I never owned a PSP and never cared too... Just something about the VITA that has me very interested. Plus there's the MLB The Show thingJoshua:

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
Same here, I ended up putting $5 down for the Wi-Fi version last week at BBY. I'd like to have it a week early, but 3G and Little Deviants is not enough to spend an extra $100. If they threw in one of the games for free that I was purchasing, that is a different story.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I figured I'd wait for just the Wifi and then add the kit + HSG.
This way I get a game I want and it's still 20.00 cheaper than the 3G kit.
Would be nice to have early but I can wait.... I thinkJoshua:

From ign 3G vita bundle for $299
Vita 3G Bundle Includes Memory, Game and Data Pass
With no additional cost.
January 27, 2012
by Greg Miller
It's well documented on IGN that the PlayStation Vita isn't selling incredibly well in Japan and that IGN Tech Tower Scott Lowe doesn't think you should buy a 3G Vita. Well, Sony's responded with a 3G Vita bundle that adds a whole bunch of stuff without any additional money.
GameStop and Amazon have listed a $300 PlayStation Vita 3G bundle that includes the system, an 8 GB memory card, a voucher for a free PlayStation Network game, and a free month of 250MB 3G service via a "DataConnect Session Pass."
Japanese Vita Review
Although we don't know what the PSN game voucher will be for, it is interesting that Sony is piling all of this into one box and keeping the 3G Vita price at the $300 announced at E3. Are you going to buy the bundle? Let us know in the comments below.Comment
