        Just curious -

If my phone has WiFi hotspotting... Wouldn't getting a 3G Vita be a little overkill?

That's exactly my reasoning for going for the Wi-Fi only model - because I already get 3G service and a wi-fi hotspot through Sprint. As long as I have the phone with me, I have a 3G connection to connect to.

Ugh. But the bundles (especially Amazon's 3G bundle, not the First Edition, but the Launch for $300) comes with an 8 GB Memory Card, which is $30 on it's own...

            I hate you, Sony.

yep. I'll be tethering the wifi version to my phone if I happen to want to use it where there is no wifi.

This is what I'll be doing as well. My only concern is that I've had trouble in the past with a very slow connection via tethering. Iphone/AT&T here...

Plus, depending on your carrier, when you go over your data limit for a month, you may see your phone slow down considerably

But the data plans for the Vita are 250 Mb, right? If that's the case, I'm still on Verizon's unlimited data plan (thanks to grandfathering), and a rooted 4G Galaxy Nexus.

Hopefully, I'm set. Decided on the WiFi version, now just to decide on memory card size, and if I need a case.

Also, glad to see the Bluetooth compatibility, as I have a stereo Bluetooth headset for gaming.

                      Well I switched again.
Decided on just the wifi version. Reserved that, 16gb card, starter kit(comes with a 4gb card, case etc..), HSG and The Show

I can wait the extra week.....

Where did you reserve the card and the starter kit? Every store I've gone to won't allow me to reserve accessories... I'm thinking I'll need to preorder those online.

Gamestop. The only thing they said wasn't in system yet was the "Grip" thing. Everything else I was able to reserve.

They told you wrong. Looking at my reserve reciept:
Sku for 16gb card is 801304
                              Sku for starter kit 801347

In case you want to "yell" at them... lol
