Makes perfect sens getting the 3G version with the extras. I have friends who bought WiFi Ipads and every once in a while wished they had 3G. I would never use 3G , but if I need it, its there.

Played it. Thought the graphics were very impressive for a handheld. Then I realized that it is in fact a handheld which means like the DS, like the PSP, it would last maybe 3-4 days until I'd be bored with it. Maybe the price drop later in the fall will entice me. Hopefully it's supported better this time around, that would also be a factor as the PSP had terrible support after the first 6-12 months.

        LOL! Awesome

I just picked up the 8GB card at Gamestop, can't believe how tiny it is.

I'm really surprised by the lack of buzz for this thing. I've been in a couple Gamestops over the past week and no one was playing the demo units. One college-aged kid bypassed the vita to check out some sony 3d tv glasses or something.

I'm blown away by it, but I guess I'm in the minority. Can't wait for The Show, and hopefully NBA 2K, Madden, etc.

I have noticed the same thing as far as the systems being unoccupied at Gamestops. I don't really mind though - it gives me more time to play it!

Yeah I agree Winston. For me, the thought of being able to play a sports game with a detailed franchise mode and sexy graphics like that immediately sold it for me. In addition, I'm a big time fighting game fan and by the second week of March the system will have three legitimate fighting games available.

Me and my girl travel a lot (pretty much anytime we have an extended amount of time off) so I would love to have this with me on trips.

                    Re: PSVITA Handheld Information

I'd be concerned, you risk losing developer support in a tough economy if the console doesn't do well. Just because in the near term a few titles look good, doesn't mean the publisher support will stick around to support any unique features of the console.

Before you know it you just have a handheld that just gets ports of PS3 games and little more. The good thing is that the above observations are anecdotal, we'll see how well it sells.

That being said, I didn't see what it was for but glimpsed my first Vita commercial the other night. Only caught the end when it said Vita.

I may be in the minority but I would actually be fine with a handheld device with just ports of PS3 games. I got so much enjoyment out of my PSP last year and it was basically dead as far as support goes.

I've decided to pass for now...

                            1. No way to output to a TV.
                            2. Most likely will be a 2nd version that will be thinner/lighter/brighter and will be capable of outputting to a TV.

                            or at least here's hoping.

I've never understood why the need to use a handheld on a TV.
Not being smart just wondering what I'm missing.
