I don't blame you on the case, I prefer a harder plastic case. That is what I had for the PSP just to keep it protected.

IGN article on Wipeout. PS3 owners with Wipeout HD can play multiplayer against Vita Wipeout 2048 without any hiccups. This can open up doors for a lot of cross mp gaming like for those COD crack addicts that need their fix on the go. Now what I don't get is this is being done for Wipeout, why wasn't Modnation delayed to add MP and to be played across both systems? I hope Sony realizes the synergy that this could create between a ps3 and vita. There's a market that wants remote play, but there are also those that would love to play MP with their friends on the go while their buddies might be on the ps3.

However, it's WipEout's cross-play feature that deserves attention. The idea is simple - players on Vita are able to go head-to-head against PS3 owners playing WipEout HD. While this may not sound particularly revolutionary it works flawlessly on Vita, and more importantly the experience between home console and handheld is near identical. Vita's twin sticks really work a treat and expertly piloting a Feisar anti-grav ship around the curved banks of downtown Nova State City feels just as satisfying as it does playing on a DualShock.

Yeah I'm pretty pumped also. Hopefully some really cool games come out for it. I'm mainly getting it to play The Show whenever I want.

This is the case I have and its great....

There is a handle that locks the Vita in the case threw the to open slots where the straps go.

I've pretty much decided I'm getting a Vita when the Show is released, maybe a little earlier. I definitely want The Show, Hot Shots, and Uncharted. I'll get it at launch if it is going to be hard to get, but I'm not really expecting that. Am I right with that assumption?

Kev, I called 3 places about reserving one, and not one store said they were limited in launch units.

I hear you I am waffling back and forth on what to do. The first edition case looks awesome, better than the other ones that are sold separately.

Amazon has some good pics of it http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Vi.../dp/B005IMVP0O ,seems to be sturdy for people who travel.

I don't want the 3G, but I could see myself using the GPS functions alot (near, ect..) so that's one reason I want the first edition bundle. I know the WiFi ver has near, but it will be limited since a lot of places I go to do not have WiFi. So since the 3G ver has built in GPS it will function alot better to obtain locations. I hear you can get gifts, ect on travels to certain areas or you yourself could leave gifts or unlocked items at random places that somebody may find. Then again how well all this stuff works who knows.

I have a 4G mobile hotspot, so no way I am subscribing to 3g. I am also hearing that subscribing to AT&T, you can get a free game from the PSN. Don't know which ones qualify but if its something good, I may subscribe for 1 month the $15.00 plan, if it will net me a $30.00+ game.

Your right decisions decisions.... the main thing which sounds completely stupid is I like that case and supposedly it is exclusive to the First Edition Bundle.

After typing this I decided I am going with the First Edition bundle. Better to have functions I will not use, but one day I may want to and will not be able to do so, if I bought the WiFi only ver.

I think this seems really cool, basic but the potential is there. Apparently Vita owners get these at launch in the box with 3 free games to mess around with.

+1 I went with the First Edition bundle but plan on not using the 3G right away...I plan on tethering my PSvita with my phone and if that puts a strain on my phone, I may go ahead with the AT&T plan.

Having the 3G option available makes me feel better if I do decide to use 3G down the road

Can you connect a Bluetooth earpiece to this thing, or do we just use the mic that's on the Vita itself?

                              Why you SHOULDN'T buy a 3G Vita:

That pretty much sums up why I'm going with the WiFi model.
