Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
What did you want to know about it?
Let's get this out of the way first - You can't play Blu-Ray discs - it says as much in the online manual. I also tried Infamous (full game download), and that was also a no-go.
The only things I've been able to make work so far were PS1 Games and 3 PSN oddballs - the Gundemonium Collection. These were also the only things that worked on the PSP's remote play, FYI.
The videos that have been posted around the net are from people running custom firmware, right?Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I misread - it only says that you can't play Blu-Ray MOVIES, not games. That said, I've tried a few disc based games and none of them worked.
No, the PSN games don't work either, except for those 3 I mentioned (none of mine at least, and I've got a bunch of them, including Blitz and JAM).Last edited by bcruise; 02-16-2012, 12:57 AM.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
ModNation is as fun as the PS3 version single-player. I actually like the controls better on the Vita. I was hoping my creations would show up somehow under my profile, but they didn't. They are there for me to download so I did grab my favorite creations that way, they just aren't listed as my creations anymore, just something I downloaded. I played through the first circuit, some pretty cool levels. I like the improvements they made, definitely not just a copy of the PS3 game.

I would hope you'd ban posters getting irrationally upset and jumping down people's throats who are only trying to help them before shutting down a very useful thread on this forum.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Yeah so far through one Quick Race and 5 races into the Career it is a fun offline racer. I noticed the PSN Store also has a $6 Unlock All option for tracks and parts if you are interested. I had read on gamefaqs that the game has some slowdown, I didn't encounter any of that yet. The first circuit of races are pretty basic, so I don't know if it is the later, more complex, races suffer from slowdown or not. Not sure how the gamefaqs people would have known this before the game came out...

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I was able to fix the Vita, charging adapter with power cord and usb cable, and some ear buds into the First Edition case. Other than games, nothing else is fitting in that sucker, it is packed.
Blzr, Unless you have some giant pockets, I don't see how you would carry around this thing in your pockets comfortably. If you didn't have the bulky hard case, I guess it would fit better. But I also bought a soft case and it is pretty much the same size. Maybe they make some slim cases for the Vita that has no padding, but I wouldn't put a $300 device in one of those.
P.S.: I can't believe I just posted a pic of my leg on OS.Attached Files

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
FWIW, I played the Vita last night for roughly 3 hours, had Wifi connected the whole time and now the battery indicator looks about half full. That 3 hours included, downloading the new firmware, copying MNR from my PS3 to the Vita, playing MNR, HSG, and that Welcome to Vita tour/game.
