One thing I wish future consoles would take from Vita: Proper standby modes. Being able to hit a button, walk away for hours, then pick it up and be instantly where you left off with no wait is awesome.

That may be only possible because the Vita uses flash (well its own proprietary flash memory) memory and not a disc based drive.

I may be wrong though, just a thought.

Heh, good thing I got 2 of my 3 HSG rounds in in the early morning, because the PSN is now down until tomorrow morning.

It can park HDD and optical drive, they just need to power ram, etc. No different than, say, closing a lid on a laptop, they just have to build it into the system.

If you don't have 3G it's based on the wireless networks your Vita can see and if they are in a database. To add your network(s) to the database go here: http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitworks/submit_ap.php

BTW, this only took a couple days to filter through, my Vita now knows exactly where it is when I am at home.

Roommates are playing skyrim and NBA 2k12. I haven't used it for anything but Netflix since I got the vita. No exaggeration.

Just finished Uncharted. It was pretty good. The particle effects and fire looked awful, but the water and textures were very nice. Gameplay wise I preferred the encounters through the first 2/3rds of the game more than the last 3rd, but overall I preferred the general gameplay to uncharted 3. I do wish this one had a better variety of locations, though.

Its down for me which sucks. I finally was getting around to installing Unit 13 which I have had since Friday night.

Was thinking about getting the ATT service for $30. Anyone know if you still get the free month with this after you pay the $30 and if so how do you get the "FREE" month??? Can I subscribe to the $14.99 plan? Advantages/Disadvantages?? Thanks in advance
