If The Show didn't exist with franchise transferring, I wouldn't own the device.

However, alongside owning it, there will be a lot of games in the next six months that I can see myself getting.

I was kinda thinking the same thing but then I thought, "I'm going to be on alot of vacation time this summer and will suck without it". So I'm good again.

No one really knows for sure. Some (like me) had the Franchise file become corrupted after the first PS3 patch, while there are others that haven't had any issues with Cloud Saves.

It's a crapshoot at this point, unfortunately.

I DL'ed patch 1.16 and cloud saved a new season to my Vita and I played a game on it in my season and everything so far is smooth except for losing 4-1 and only mustering up three hits in my rusty haze. Before though, I couldn't get passed the schedule screen without getting an error and lock up. When I get home tonight I'm going to transfer it back to the PS3 and see what happens.

So....talk me into MK guys. How many on this board are getting it? Think there will be enough of an online community on the portable to make it worthwhile?

If it helps, I never owned it on PS3, though I did rent it once a long time ago, enough to get a taste of the combos, fatalities and story mode. So for me it wouldn't be buying most of the same game all over again like it would be for most of you.

I don't even remember why I decided against getting it on initial release...might have been because of SFIV taking up all my fighting game time.

Ok, I transferred my cloud save from my vita back to the ps3, checked box scores, schedules, stats, etc... Everything so far has worked. I even simmed the season, I started on the ps3 played on the vita and transferred back, and every one who belonged in the playoffs were there. No abnormalities.

So I say guys... Start new.

Hopefully this continues as I haven't played a game on the ps3 yet, that status will come later tonight.

Personally I'm waiting a month until E3 to see what Sony has in store for us. if they don't bring the goods at E3 then I don't see myself owning this for too long.

I can't plunge on MNR due to it having no online races. Just sharing online, I think. Kills it for me.

Although at the moment HSG doesn't have actual online play either (just tournaments) there's promise of it coming.

It's funny - I think I am the Vita's target market. I own a PSP and love it. I had been saving money to buy the Vita, expecting my decision to be easy. Then, I saw the list of games - no football or hockey (later I saw Madden sort of announced, but appears an after thought by EA), no Burnout, no GTA, one baseball game. I am an Xbox guy, so cross-platform baseball with The Show (if it even works) is of no interest to me. There was no pressing reason for me to buy the Vita, but I was still on the fence at launch. The thing that took me off the fence was the greed of Sony. Games don't work without a proprietary memory card? No deal at all for the UMD discs I already own (not even a discount to download from PSN store to my Vita)? All of this combined to make me take a pass on the Vita, and I have not seen anything since to make me doubt my decision. I'm disappointed, but Sony brought all of this on itself, and failing sales are the result.

It's interesting to read different opinions on the Vita. I play mine every night and it's one of the best things I've purchased in years. I'm a married father of three so I have to combine my entertainment. Gaming on my iphone or Ipad is cool but it's not comparable to the Vita in my opinion.

My only complaints are that I wish there were more games available and the memory cards are overpriced.

The only thing the Vita is lacking right now is games in particular need to continue to roll in

Throw in sports games, and even some of the ones named above and there are times this thing here is just flat out handy!
