At the latest, E3. But probably before, if in fact either game is coming out (I have my doubts).Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Yeah, sadly I have doubts as well. EA stopped making NCAA (and NHL) for the PSP several years ago and the PSP had a larger installed user base at that time. I believe 2K made an NBA game for the PSP even through this year, so I guess that's certainly possible for the Vita (I'm not a basketball fan, so that doesn't excite me much).Comment

Bleak or Bright: The PlayStation Vita’s Past and Future
Sony’s new handheld has struggled. What does the future hold?
But another part of me feels like Vita is on the path towards spiraling to a slow, PSP-like death, but without the years of PSP’s success behind it. It’s this latter scenario that truly concerns me going forward in 2013. If Vita doesn’t sell, it’s not a viable platform for third-parties to put games on. But if third-parties won’t support Vita, it won’t sell. It’s a classic (and unfortunate) catch-22. Third-parties want to test the waters and see what Vita’s all about – just look at the subpar Madden port from this past summer – but without all cylinders firing, Vita won’t make business sense to anyone associated with it, from Sony all the way down to the smallest developer and everyone in between.
As I’ve said time and time again, PlayStation Vita is the handheld I’ve always wanted. It’s a stellar example of what's possible in the realm of gaming on the go, and with the 3DS selling so steadily, the market itself isn’t against dedicated portable gaming. But Nintendo has games that sell, a rapidly expanding install base and feverishly dedicated consumers. With Vita, PlayStation doesn’t have any of that, and without the assistance of rose-colored glasses, 2013 isn’t looking great for Sony’s handheld that could, but hasn’t.Comment

I only read the excerpt, but I tend to disagree on the Madden comment. I purchased both versions, and prefer the Vita version to the console version, by quite a margin. It's a lot less quirky (engine-wise), and CCM is not an advancement or pro, IMO.

Like I said several posts ago, 2013 will be a telling year for the Vita. If Sony can't recover this year from the bad sales of 2012, this thing will die a slow death with 2014 being its last. Cross buy can only carry the system so far if there isn't more 3rd party support. Those damn memory cards need to come down in price.Comment

I agree, Madden was great on the Vita last year. I dislike the physics engine in M13. If we get to continue our CCM between both systems this year that will be an instant purchase.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
They need more cross-controller content, like the LittleBigPlanet DLC. I proposed some examples of what The Show could do, and it would essentially be future-proof (in other words, would also work plausibly on PS4 without hassle). It would essentially do what the Wii U does right now.
If the Vita possibly dies, I'd hate to see this tech go to waste and what better way to utilize it.Comment
