Picked up Persona 4 yesterday. I didn't have a chance to get very deep into the story but it seems slow in the first 30 mins.

Yeah, it's a very long game so it takes a bit to set up the plot. I think around the hour mark is where the main gameplay starts up (assuming you don't skip scenes). It's worth it if you can get through that first exposition.

After playing the vanilla version on the PS2 and then grabbing this, I must say the fast forward feature is a life saver and whenever you need to reply or make and answer I believe the select button allows you to go back and see previous dialogue. But since you're just playing it, yes it is slow but picks up rather suddenly and should be enjoyable from there.

Probably took 3 1/2 to 4 hrs for it to start picking up for me. I ended up returning it to the store after spending about 5 hrs with it. I throroughly enjoyed what I had played up until that point, but it's too text driven for my taste. I barely have enough time as is to play video games - which is part of the reason i decided to get a Vita to play on the go. That said I enjoyed the relationship building and more imporatantly the combat. If you have the time to put into it I definitely recommend sticking with it.

Thanks for the responses guys... It definitely seems interesting thus far. I'm a bit perplexed as to why the main character doesn't have any audio though. Other than that, I've already had a few battles and they are very well done. Darn songs stick in your head and I end up humming them all day. Anyways, off to Junes!

I actually wound up purchasing Batman: Blackgate. It was actually a decent game. I enjoyed it. It is much more linear than its console couterparts, but I think it did a good job of intergrating the front touchscreen.

If you like any of the Batman Arkham games, then you might want to check this out.

@RunN: Searching this thread for "persona" by my user name will pull up several posts I made about P4G back when I played it near release. No spoilers, just some info about how the game works, especially the fusion system. I can still help if you have any questions too, we didn't have a separate thread for this game so all the discussion went in here.

I got one for Christmas! Well its actually a shared gifted between me and my step-daughter. But anyway, I love it. Did some remote play with the PS4 and I'm very impressed. Only issue I have is using the touch pad as the L2 and R2. I guess I just gotta keep trying to get used to it.

Also, can anyone tell me if the PS Plus free games are the same on Vita as they are on PS3? Or is it sometimes yes and sometimes no? I got the Uncharted game free, so looking forward to trying that.

Well it's sometimes yes sometimes no being that not all of the same games are for ps vita but I'm sure they always include a free vita game as well.

Some good deals for the vita at gamestop thru Dec 29th. Memory cards are on sale, picked up a 32 for $49.00 dollars. Also Tearaway is on sale for $19.99(I know it is for $17.99 on psn plus, but it's still a good deal.)

I got a Vita for Christmas too, and playing Madden on remote play has been amazing. I don't need to wait until everyone else in the house have gone to sleep in order to put in a game of my franchise. I agree with the L2 R2 controls on the rear touch pad taking a while to get used to.

I started doing coach mode on Madden because of this and I am now more satisfied with Madden than I have been in a long time. Can't put it down.
