    It's pretty much on rails so far. There was a period where you're in cover, and you duck out to shoot someone, but so far, just on rails. You get control to jump as well. There seem to be some new wrinkles, but with limited playtime, I haven't seen any.

    As an undead marionette cowboy thirsty for revenge, you're going to pile up a lot of bodies, and you'll do it all with just a wave of your hand and a flick of your wrist. I'm speaking literally: You'll use your crosshairs to cover up to six targets and then pull your wrist up toward your shoulder (like you're firing a recoiling pistol) to shoot them all. (Think Child of Eden or Omega Boost). You don't have to make your hand into a gun shape while you do this, but in a way, you do have to, because, what are you, a monster?
    How do I live in a world where something this awesome exists?

    As you shoot, you'll also be helping The Gunstringer leap over or otherwise avoid obstacles by pulling his strings left, right or straight up with your left hand. It feels a little odd at first, but it's perfectly sensible once your left hand learns to not overcompensate wildly for every cow-made-of-a-beer-can that stumbles into your path. Occasionally, The Gunstringer will stop behind some cover and you'll jerk left or right to pull him out just long enough to drop your foes and (preferably) not get shot. The skeletal avenger picks up some new tricks along the way but, seeing as stumbling upon them is a genuine delight, I'll leave you to discover them for yourself.

      I picked up Gunstringer today and I think it is fun. Doesn't have that tech demo feel to it which is good since this isn't a launch game. Not sure how much gameplay it will provide to make it worthy of a disc based game purchase rather than what you'd expect from a downloadable game.

          So yeah I like Gunstringer a lot, definitely my favorite Kinect game. I hope that it is the first of good Kinect games coming out now that we're past the release and really don't need more Kinect intro games. I don't really like games on rails and Gunstringer kind of is, but at least you get the left/right/jump movements that make it ok. Something that the Wii did right that I was disappointed that Kinect didn't do was the nunchuck that the Wii has. That allows their motion games to not be on rails because you have a compact control stick in you had for movement. I know Kinect is suppose to be totally controller free, but I hope they add some type of small controller so that action/adventure games don't have to be on rails.

            I am debating getting the Kinect since a few stores have it on sale for $99 for Black Friday.

            Those who have one is it something you still use or a purchase you regret?

                I use it more for Kinect Video Chat with family members in other parts of the country then anything else. Still think it was a good buy, since it does get used.

                  I still play my Kinect. I play it more now, too, since my friend got one for himself, so now I have someone to play with. It's easy to put in Kinect Sports and waste an entire night away in the blink of an eye with a friend over Live.

                    I break mine out for get togethers. I've only played it by myself 3-4 times.

                          Well its out online with the extra games for $99 (BB, amazon). I am tempted more for the dashboard voice/camera control than the games.

                            Kinect to come built into tvs

                            Microsoft is reportedly in the early stages of getting motion-sensor Kinect into TVs.

                            Microsoft is talking to TV makers including Sony about licensing its Kinect tech, The Daily reports.

                            If a deal is worked out, we may see Kinect in next-generation TV sets, enabling gesture and voice TV controls.

                            The Daily speculates that a Kinect-enabled TV would probably network with local PCs running the next version of Windows. It suggests future TVs may even be able to recognise individuals and resume shows.

                            On 6th December Microsoft will push out its redesigned Xbox 360 dashboard, which improves the way players can use Kinect to interact with their console.

                            Sources told the site that Microsoft wants to "aggressively push the Kinect into as many living rooms as possible, even those without its Xbox 360 gaming systems".

                            Clearly, Microsoft sees a life outside of the Xbox for Kinect. It this week announced improved Kinect hardware for the Windows version, due out early next year.

                            One rumour currently doing the rounds is that Microsoft will release an Apple TV-rival product of its own late next year with Kinect built in.

                            Kinect for Xbox 360, which launched in November 2010, is the fastest-selling consumer electronics device ever, and has shifted 10 million units.

                              Today we are announcing a new price for Kinect. The new permanently reduced price will be US $109.99 in US. There will be also a permanently reduced price in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions where Kinect is sold. Additionally, on October 4, the Kinect sensor will be available for a permanently reduced price in Australia and New Zealand.

                              The final retail price will vary in each region based on the currency and other variables

                              Also Kinectimals with Bears is now $19.99 and Kinect Rush: Disney Pixar is $29.99.
