8 Million Kinect sensors sold since launch.

This number is absolutely insane and they beat their own forecasts by 3 million. We're talking about a $150 peripheral and good portion of these were bundles too. It's funny to remember back how many thought Kinect was going to fail miserably.

Netflix support coming for Kinect this spring, just announced at MS press conference.

EDIT - Hulu as well.

Avatar Kinect shown. Basically what has been rumored, a PS Home copy, where you use Kinect to control your avatar's and chat.

I bet MS does a better job with Avatar Kinect than Home. I don't even know the last time I went into Home. There was no real incentive for me and the whole things feels to sluggish + I hate the look, feel, and movement of the avatars you use. They even feel sluggish. There are some cool things on Home, but not enough to make you jump for joy.

Holy Crap! That is an insane amount + I'm still seeing quite a few on shelves, so MS was smart to stock this thing well this holiday. Hopefully they learned their lesson that console shortages sometimes isn't good, even though it helps create hype. They sold 8 million of these things in 60 days......which also translated to 50 million consoles sold.

I'll probably use Avatar Kinect once, but the technology looked cool. Just nothing I'm in to or care about. The update will allow facial expressions with the avatar's which is a cool touch.

Everyone is in a chair though during "chat", which has a pretty obvious reason behind it. Since chats have full facebook intergration, you'd have avatars humping each other left and right. LOL

I am really happy that I bought kinect. It is fun and works great. Kudos to The engineers who designed it!

Yeah, flex stuff three days a week. (1 hour each)

Weights stuff three days a week (weights sessions aren't that long)

I normally do the weights while my baby sleeps and the wife has dinner.

Thats a good idea! I think I'm gonna do the same thing. I already have the biggest loser.
