In order to get my Dance Central on, I've not only have to move my coffee table, I also have to move my couch entirely out of view. Naturally, I was intrigued when earlier this week Nyko unveiled the Zoom for Kinect, a new add-on that clips onto the sensor and reduces the distance required to get users in full view and accurately track their movements by 40 percent.Comment

Where is the best place to put the Kinect sensor, above or below the TV? Right now below it just doesn't seem to recognize my kids at times as they try to hand gesture. I also have it sitting on my center channel which is under the TV, is that ok?Comment

All depends on how tall your tv stand is. I had it below and above before. Works just as good in both places to me.
If you do move it, make sure you re-caliberate it.Comment

I played Kinect at a friend's place for the 4th and I had a lot of fun with it. We played Kinect sports and volleyball and track and field was fun as hell. I gotta get one!Comment

Nyko Zoom - 10
For those like me though, who have a permanently limited play area at home, the Nyko Zoom is an add-on that will be a permanent installation.
The build is on-par with the Kinect sensor itself, down to the shade of its glossy plastic frame, and installation is simple -- just slide it on and wait for it to click into place. Removal is equally simple.
If you're tired of the hassle of shifting furniture to play Microsoft's controller-free gaming peripheral, you might want to consider picking one up.Comment

I got it. I didn't play it a ton, and I do a recalibration of my Kinect, but it seems really fun. Interesting control scheme too. I'll have to put more time into it.Rose City 'Til I Die
