I'm still confused about the hookups. Do the XP Sevens have the optical in and out on the console interface? And same question for the A50's.

Astros don't...according to my friend who has the 50s. Flight would be a good person to ask. I own the 40s.

Both the A50 and Sevens connect via Optical to the console. and both have pass through optical to use the hometheater speakers when you dont want to game with the headsets.

Something the A40 do not do.

Only have had them for two nights and so far so good.
Well the left speaker now has a high pitch coming through and I believe the speakers are shot. Gonna have to return these POS's to Tritton, for 300 bones it could've lasted longer than 1.5 months, sad.

When they were working, they were awesome, no wires anywhere... omg it was grand. Putting this out for FYI to all.

For those of you with the TB XP Sevens how well does the mic pick up your voice for chat? I picked them up today and have been noticing that while I can hear myself through the headset people can't hear me and it seems like I have to talk louder then normal to have it actually come through the party chat. I love the feel of the sevens an the sound it awesome, going to have all kinds of fun fine tuning these bad boys to my liking.

I picked up the Sony Pulse Elite edition the other day. So far I am quite pleased. A very comfortable headset with very good sound. Any one else using these? If so what are your thoughts.

They are great. My only two beefs are the battery life (seems like they are only good for 3-4 hours on a charge) and the top band needs more padding (makes the top of my head hurt after a while).

Swapped the TB Sevens for Astro A50s, I am still amazed how good they are. The Astros are all that and more, the sound is fantastic for games and movies. They are very comfortable, my only gripe is the batteries aren't swappable.
