I have these but have not been able to get them to work with the PS4 as of yet. I know it can be done as I've been to their site and have followed the setup procedure but still no sound. I have not updated the firmware on the headset since I bought them, its a hassle, so that may be the issue.

Anyone here with A50s have any success with the PS4?

Ah, never mind, updated to the latest firmware and they work like a charm!

            Re: Gaming headsets

I bought these for now (have better quality headset but it's for 360 only ).

            My question is this...

Can someone on here more tech savvy than I please help me out with setting them up on my PS4?

I found this picture but the problem is that I do not have red & white audio jacks on my TV that are out, they are all in. (55" LG, pretty new)

            Spoiler

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

            EDIT:
Disregard, I found a work around to get my much nicer 360 gaming headset to work with my PS4.

I'm just missing one component which I can pick up anywhere, a 3.5mm to 2.5mm male to male cable (to connect it to the DS4).

Lots of scouring on the internet for info paid off, who knew.

I snagged these not knowing I could use my Astro A50's. Once I opened them I can't take back to GameStop. Oh well. They do sound nice

for Boltman, Flightwhite, or anyone else using Turtle beach. there is now a support section to set up chat for the ps4 with px4.

                  here it is:

actually seems similar to what you had to do on the ps3 I think.

Do stores carry these cables? I tried ordering from the Turtle Beach website, but they are out of stock.

Not exactly, I had to go to radio shack to buy the part I needed (the coupler).

I already had a 3.5mm & 2.5mm cable from my other headsets, I needed to combine them so it was 2.5 on one end and 3.5 on the other.

they should. only need a 2.5 mm to a 3.5 mm cable. I am sure Amazong and monoprice among others carry these.

I got a 2.5 to 3.5 off of Amazon last week, and the mic didn't work with my x42. I thought maybe the one from Turtle Beach was special, maybe I'll try the one I have again.

Still the best out there IMO(at least ones that are semi affordable).

Well in a sense they are a bit different, the 3.5mm jack has three rings on it like in the pic of the link I posted.

Most other ones that you buy generically have only two.
