Yea you have a special best buy that puts out all the high end $300 sets for display. Must be a lucky best buy.

I realized recently my desktop PC has the optical audio out, so put my PX5's on that and it's been awesome for PC gaming.

Haven't been using them on consoles as much, so nice to get them good use.

Just chill man, if I get the store I can look, but I know the Turtle Beach display and it's 4 models, all under the 400s.

I asked once for everyone to chill. I don't wanna be a dick because this is a close knit thread of us headset guys, but if it doesn't chill out I'm gonna have to close it.

Now another question. For those with the higher end sets, which are the best in general. I know a lot of you have had different ones.

I almost pulled the trigger on a set of A40's today but the wired headset scares me because I have cats. I just can't do the extra $50 for the A50.

I was looking at the TB Kilo's at Gamestop, they were on sale for $239 and I almost bought those. They seem like they are pretty good for that price.

So yah, sorry for all the questions. Just having a really hard time deciding.

I have always been tempted to get a Surround Sound Headset as I don't have a surround sound setup in my place.

If money is no option....what set you go with?

Kilos and all of those call of duty turtle beaches have had connection issues, mine included. I have both the a40s and xp sevens. I prefer the xp sevens hands down.

Those are the brand new ones right? I'm just worried the one of the cats will chew through the wire. They typically don't chew, but Im afraid of having essentially a $300 coaster.

I am really tempted though. How do they hookup? I have optical from my ps3 to my soundbar, will I have to unhook and re-hook the optical when I want to use them?

Yeah that's how they'll all be. Although it has a bypass that you'd plug your soundbar into so you'd never have to change.

The A50's are worth every $$$$. I've had TB's/Trittons and they were what I thought to be very good but after trying the Astros it's not even close. Try to catch a deal at BB when they are running a special.

If you lived near me I would sell you my A50 much cheaper then they go for.

I have the a50 had the a40 and now have the tb seven which are the most complete headset. I am an astro guy of late and the a50 are incredible and have no interference issues with wifi connections. They also have Kleernet tech which is the best for wireless sound.

                            They are comfy as heck.

What sets the sevens from TB is that you get your moneys worth. It comes with a dedicated cable for smart phones or ipods with inline talk cable and it comes with a cable for pc and mac

You can take calls on it and remove the mic to listen to music while on the go.

But the best part is the ability to switch presets on the fly and select the volume of each of the 5 speakers (virtual) and sub.

The sound is a bit better due to that then the a50

I am able to clearly hear footsteps and movement in black ops easier with the seven.

The cables are not easy to chew through since they are twisted cables made of great material

The headphones are noise cancelation which the a50 are not.

You cant hear yourself typing on a keyboard with them on. That is how great they are at isolating sound.

You guys are killing me haha.

But seriously, I really appreciate the feedback guys.

My wife just told me that if I wait till we get our tax refund I can buy any headset I want. So I guess that puts it between the A50's or the X Sevens.

And thanks to you too authentic.

No problem. I am a sound enthusiast. I agree with what gaminglegend said about the sevens though. They are the best headset currently. Noise cancellation on them competes with Boses headphones for music and the variety of presets and options is awesome. Comfort wise as well, most comfortable headset, music or gaming, I've put on. However, you can't go wrong either way, they're both a solid headset, you just get some extra perks with the sevens.
