Yea I read that to after I saw your post. Thanks

I think they look real nice. Would love to test them first to see if they sound as good as the x41

I haven't had any interference problems so far. I also did a mini review in another thread...

I tested them out with MLB.tv, Netflix, HuluPlus, MLB 11 The Show, and Madagascar 2 Blu-Ray (it was the first one on the shelf) - they worked like a charm with every medium! You can definitely hear a lot of details that you may have missed before. Actually, it really made the difference more noticeable in how Karros sounds in TS, compared to the other announcers. I still have to test them out with something like SOCOM, that has proximity chat, to see how they fair. One cool feature is the chat/audio crossfader control. You can mix the two, to your desired levels (i.e. low game audio, high voice chat level or vice versa, or 50/50 or any combo really.) I didn't get to test the mic quality yet, but I will give that a go online tonight. Even with the limited playtime, they are gold so far...

      Pros:

      - Very well constructed (although I never doubted they would be)
      - Sound is very very good for both stereo and virtual surround
      - Lightweight/Comfortable
      - Buttons/controls are very accessible
      - Volume is nice and loud (rarely had them set higher than 50% level)
      - Integrated on-screen settings display
      - Retractable Mic Boom is cool
      - The range is very good
      - Internal rechargeable battery
      - They look good (IMO)

      Cons:

      - RF instead of Bluetooth (if you are against dongles, or have limited USB ports)
      - Low's (bass) could be a little better
      - Your wife/girlfriend/kids may say things like "dork" "geek" and "nerd" while you're wearing them

Thank You for the mini review.

So wearing them on 360 as well is out of the question?

And have you tried the x41 from TB

You know how many MM are the speakers on each cup?

I finally rewired my system so the PX5 connects to my TV's optical audio out, works perfectly for both the PS3 and Xbox...no longer need to figure a optical switcher, and was getting annoying having to manually switch.

I thought the same thing but you know it hasan;t botherd the other renters around me, and there are 4 appartments units in close around each othere and I live in a pretty crappy appartment. I turned up surround sound with extra base and put in a action move that felt like it was shaking my walls and I could barly hear it out side. and One of the other renters was out side and I asked if he could hear anything and he was like nope and he asked the same of me because he also had a surround sound and I never heard his once either.

              Re: Gaming headsets

I had a turtle beach that I got because I had extra funds at gamestop trading in alot of stuff and liked them alot becasue no only was I able to use them on my systems but also on my comp as well. But i digress I have a cat that loves chewing any electrical cords and she chewed threw it. I sat it down for one minute while I talked to someone at my door selling somthing and when I picked it back up it was not working and I found out why. I tried to repair them and I got it to power back up but no sound comes threw and no mic either. So last week I went and picked up the new Sony wireless head set with the 7.1 surround. Its pretty good the down sides is that for some reason even If I had kept it charging for a day or two when I unhooked it from the charge cable with in 20 minuts it was down 3 bars with only 2 bars left. Also there is a adjuster for the surround sound and mic but you basicly have to turn the surround sound off to hear any one talking to you which is i guess ok for sports games but for fighting games is kind of annoying cus i love hearing it in surround but the other players can;t hear you clearly and you cant hear them clearly either. I also wonder if I could use it on my pc I know its for the ps3 but it would be nice to have it able to us on the pc as well. (I have not tried it on the pc don;t want to mess something up and my luck I would break somthing)

Looks like the x41's would be a good option. If I connect them to the optical audio out on my TV I should be able to use them for the PS3 too right?

Ps3 has an optical input that you connect to x41

As long as both systems are going into the TV you're all set.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

most tvs don't have dolby digital pass through on their optical out connections. you may only get 2 channel stereo sound. it is recommended to either connect directly to the console or use an optical out on a receiver.

Decided to splurge and grab another headset. Stuck between the X41's $129 and the new Trittons GOW3 7.1's for $179

                            Is there a big difference?
Ended up snagging the X41's. Just to good of a deal for $129.

i use the tb x41s for the xbox 360 and they work great. One thing to watch out for is the cord that connects the controller to the headset normally has poorly soldered joints inside and if u constantly mess with your mute button it may break the joint. i just ordered a different style control from turtle beach and am hoping it is made a lil better. The original cable lasted a while (1-1.5yr) but i have friends who are experiencing the same problem on there headsets in a shorter time. New cable only costs 5$ so its not like its an expensive fix.
