Re: Nintendo 3DS
Saw the abbreviations for AC and thought you guys were talking about Assassin's Creed for 3DS. Got me excited!
You guys pick up the Castlevania for 3DS? Started playing it a couple of days ago. Like the 3D/2D aspect to it. Feels very reminiscent of the original Castlevania on NES to me.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Finally got a 3DS XL over the weekend. Came away very impressed with it. The games look and play great on the thing. I won't use the 3D much, gives me a headache for the most part, but overall a very solid system.Comment

The XL version is awesome too, the screens are huge, much nicer than the regular.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

That's how I feel...I don't use the 3d much at all (bugs my eyes), but flat out there are so many games on it (as well as games coming out). First year of the 3DS was slow, but now the games are great.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
It's actually exactly what I want from a system. Has the great Nintendo only games, some other decent stuff and is fun. Was never a big handheld guy, mainly because screen size, but the XL blows that out of the water. Plus got the system and games less than a Vita and a memory card, so win. Was going back and forth on both, and the price ended the conversation.
I just worry that I'd buy it and not have any time to actually use it.Currently Playing:

Add me if you would like and send me your friends code (still hate how Nintendo does that).

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I flip-flop between having it on the lowest 3D setting (the only one that won't make my eyes go wacky) and having it off.
Sometimes it's nice and adds a bit of depth without making it all crazy and causing eye-strain.
The game library is fantastic. It beats the 360s library for me.badComment

I play with the 3D halfway up, at worst, and all the way up, at best. I love the depth it adds, especially in Fire Emblem.Last edited by souljahbill; 05-20-2013, 03:22 PM.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
For JRPGs and strategy games the DS/3DS beats every system on the market right now - and that's what interests me.
I would put it above the PS3 as well, but the PS3 has other games (PYS, some other JRPGs) that interest me enough to keep it at the top of this console generation.
There are literally no console exclusives on the 360 and only one on the Wii that I can think of (Xenoblade Chronicles) that I have any interest in playing. As a matter of fact, my 360 has been unplugged and under my bed for at least 2-3 years.badComment

It all depends on what type of games you play/are interested in, though.

The PS3 had 1 game I really miss and that's The Show so I really don't miss the PS3 at all.
I really have no console exclusives that I "must play" as they all are simply re-hashes (and frankly overated - UC series, Halo etc..)
If it wasn't for Madden 13 and Tiger Woods my 360 would be off also.
So while right now the 3DS is the system I play the most when I look at the genres I like (Sports, platformers, RPG's etc..) the library of games is far better on the consoles.
Yes the 3DS has more jrpg's but thats just one genre and the PS3 and 360 do have some good ones.
I think I'm simply ready for the next gen stuff and that's why I've drifted more to the 3DS as it seems fresh.
Can't wait for Animal Crossing!Joshua:
