What's brilliant about Animal Crossing is that you play it however you want to play it. It's your game. There's no going too fast or too slow. Brilliant game.

Likewise. I put my house in a clearing between the creek and ocean.

Not close to down payment yet. Just have to figure out how to get the fruit and bugs. Gonna check the stores in a bit.

A person on your friends list has to open their gate so you can enter.

So, I purchased AC today, and my daughter immediately fell in love with the game. It's just a great chill game and I can see her playing this for many months.

With that said, I'm just a wee bit jealous. In order for me to have my own town, do I have to purchase my own separate game or download it digitally? Do I have to have my own 3DS?

No. You can live in same town on the same 3DS. Just can't be the mayor.

Sort of only 1. But I believe 2-3 users per save. Only one can be mayor.

I'll open my gates after about a week or so. Right now, there's no island access and the town and my house are minimal. After I've developed stuff up a little bit, then I'll be open for guests.

Oh, and I'm QT in Dukes.

I really don't think so. I mean yeah they can pull up flowers etc..
I just want to get to other towns after about a week or so playing mainly to see what items I can get added to my towns catalog and get fruits not native to my town. Need to get my orchard started

Yeah I had never played AC before I tried the DS version ... loved it? I really just stuck to myself, mostly, but did visit a few people. I had a lot of fun fishing, gardening and looking for fossils.

Do most of you guys interact a lot with other people when you play AC or are you a loner like me?

OK that's IT. Once we sign the papers to sell our house, I'm getting a 3DS XL. I'd buy the AC bundle but no way I'm carrying that polka-dotted thing around.

Visited Kev's town and traded my cherries for his pears.

Timmy had shovel and net. I did all of Isabella's (the clerk at city hall) tasks and bought rod from her. Spent a while fishing and doing bugs. Paid my down payment and get house tomorrow.

I got oranges from a random NPC wandering around my town.

I have apples, oranges still growing and I got pears from Kev this morning. Also gave him an extra fossil.

Just got my approval rating up to 100% and have ~3k (so ~1 fishing excursion or so) to finish paying off my house in full (it was ~40k after the 10k down payment.) Have quite a few exhibits in the museum for being a day or so in. Now I have to wait a day or three for my town development permit to be finalized.

I'm Jared in Uberia. Feel free to drop by (I'll try to have my town open more) whenever it's open - you'll know it's my city by the Milwaukee Brewers flag.

Just post here when you all will have gates open. I'll carry some oranges so I can get some apples and cherries. Not sure I want pears since I dont like pears. Lol
May just stick with apples and oranges.
