Japanator: SMT IV Import Preview
It's been a long ten years since the excellent Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne hit the PS2.
When the Persona series blew up on the PS2, the chances of a new SMT game seemed to fade into the darkness with each passing year. Some folks might not realize it when looking at the relatively immense popularity that Persona enjoys nowadays, but Shin Megami Tensei was Atlus' flagship series. Known for their dark, meaningful storylines, demon recruiting antics, and high level of challenge, the SMT games are classics that have gone overlooked by RPG fans for far too long.
Hopefully Shin Megami Tensei IV changes all of that.I know a lot of folks were concerned that towns would be entirely menu based, so I'm pleased to report that that isn't the case. The first area in Shin Megami Tensei IV is a set of menu options, but once the story moves into Tokyo, the entire thing opens up. The city map is huge, with lots of bonus dungeons and locations to explore at your own pace. The towns you get to visit in Tokyo are all explorable and feature NPCs as well as the usual shops.
ONM UK: Mario and Luigi Dream Team Review - 92%
It's easy for a Dream Team Bros. review to become a list of neat stuff. It's a game that introduces a new idea, mechanic or boss fight every half an hour for around 35 hours- and that's without investing in side content: excavating stat-boosting beans, waking scattered Pi'illos, reassembling CCTV footage (don't ask), an extra tough boss rush mode... It's absolutely rammed and gets better the less you know, so we'll draw a line under it there.
So it is that 3DS's incredible first-party run continues. In the year that has given us the definitive Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing it only makes sense that AlphaDream should step up and deliver the best Mario and Luigi game yet.Last edited by Flawless; 07-02-2013, 04:07 AM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
With Fire Emblem I just need to play it and not worry about if I'm doing stuff wrong. I was trying to learn how to best level guys up and stuff but it seems to get somewhat complicated. I need to just enjoy the game and let it happen.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
